Hah. I hear about some tech support woes from my friend who is a "firedog" at the circuit city I work at.

@iatneH: I guess skating is sort of a white boy thing to do but eh. Cruising and carving down a hill just feels good.
I'm not one of those baller asians who has parents that buys 'em a nice ass car  .

I got another annoying story. A friend and I decide to eat lunch at the same time today during a sloww ass period and then this guy from car installs comes into the break room asking us, "When's your lunch?" all tough like. He always has some unnecessarily tough attitude like he's the shit.
I say, "I don't know but I'm eating now." He leaves. Then 5 minutes later he comes back in a very serious tone like he had some damn authority over us telling each of us when our lunches are and that our supervisor is going to write us up  . I was annoyed and amused at the same time. He's like Randall from that saturday morning cartoon "Recess" (not sure if anyone is going to know what i'm talking about  ).

maybe if they did not feel the need to employ so many sales assistants they could afford to drop the price to a more reasonable price. you just have to keep an ear to the ground the prices are revised on wednesdays/thursdays if im correct.

I am aware of that program. My sisters only just turned 17 so this was on pretty much all the time on the disney including thats so raven. I think ive watched a higher percentage of the total episodes of these two programs more than anything else becuase of my sister poor taste in TV.

Once youve worked there for a while you come to realise a thing or two. You cant explode and shit talk customers. You really want to but cant as you will get your ass fired.
Instead you learn how to be a sarcastic asshole that can piss off the customers even more and still keep a smile on your face and a nice tone of voice.

Its like people think its ok to take out their rage on a retail employee after theyve had a shitty day at work. To them youre a greedy fuck who tries to squeeze every penny out of them.

So to them youre not human at all :P

Im glad I got out of that after 6 years and got done with my degree in advanced computer science. Like GaijinPunch said, it really motivates you to finish your education.
I work in customer service and I've discovered this little trick as well. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but I can easily manipulate people into feeling like a moron.

I've even had some pushy people come back and apologize. Fun times. Embrace the madness. :)

Old site, but it has a lot of interesting/funny stories about running a game store and dealing with stupid customers.

Yo, if anyone is looking to get a new game console, now is the time. Circuitcity liquidation % went up today. 20% off video games (systems and games) and 30% off acccessories.

so that's

$104 for DS
$136 for PSP
$200 for wii
$160 or $240 or $320 for xbox360
$320 for the PStriple

Not a bad deal, if you ask me.
But then you never know, prices might go down in the future.
