Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

I'm happy to see the Wii finally getting a bunch of games that interest me.

Muramasa (I'm one of the weirdoes who loved everything about Odin Sphere)
S+P2 (huge fan of the first game, who isn't?)
Klonoa remake (loved the PS2 game, haven't played the original)
Madworld (godhand meets killer7, sold)
TraceMemoryR (loved the DS game, and Hotel Dusk too)

Wii is really going to kick ass in 09! maybe not in sales of these games, but certainly for the diehard following that this roster appeals to.

PS3 (roughly in the the order of anticipation):

Resident Evil 5
Yakuza 3
Heavy Rain
God of War 3
KOF 12

Demon's Souls
Borderlands
SF 4
Uncharted 2
Bayonetta

Final Fantasy 13
White Knight Chronicles
KillZone 2
Splatterhouse

DS:

Gyakuten Kenji
Golgo 13: File G-13 o Oe

I was also gonna say Flower, Sun and Rain, but then I realized it's apparently already out since last November (english version)...

May have to get an X360 afterall:

Ketsui

R-Type Dimensions

May have to get a Wii afterall:

Madworld (unless it's censored to oblivion)
Muramasa
House of the Dead: Overkill
Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.

Games I am waiting for ....

DUX - Dreamcast - after waiting for months, already paid it
in summer, I hope I won´t be disappointed about this shmup.
I know it may be stupid, but if you have every shooter for a
console you have to get every new release.

Giana Sisters, DS : I ´ve played Giana Sisters on the C 64
before I ever saw Super Mario Bros - even knowing that
Giana Sisters is a "rippoff" of Super Mario Bros I love the
Sisters more than the Brothers. And how often can you say
that a german game is better than a japanese.

As a good german you have to love Giana Sisters, Katakis
and the Turrican-Games.

Dragon Quest 9
From the latest news, it looks like it's going to have system that's a hybrid of DQ3 and DQ6. (So instead of fighting 500 battles to max a job level, simply change your level 20 warrior to a level 1 priest, kill a metal slime, then change your level 20 priest to a level 1 paladin.) Been waiting for them to do this for nearly a decade. And a half.

Starcraft 2
I went for years not caring about this; Starcraft already exists similar to how DOOM already exists. But then I watched the Blizzardcon 2008 single player panel, and I realized I do actually want this, and it is about damn time. The unit selection cap of 250 alone makes it worth existing.

Ghostbusters
If only to see if the story is decent. Being a fan of Ghostbusters has not paid off. The latest comic (GB: The Other Side) is like scrote across the face.

I've basically quit videogames, if I do get around to playing something there's a ton of PS2 releases that I haven't gotten around to. I bought Ibara and just haven't even made an effort to clear it yet. I've been playing Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on and off.

Someday though I will own a fullsize arcade cabinet of Street Fighter Alpha 3

I do hope Streetfighter 4 will be good but I see little reason to be optimistic

After seeing the new FFXIII gameplay trailer, I'll add it to my 'looking forward to' list; that's more like it!
The Battle system looks like a lot of fun to me.

Comes out in the US in March.

I had not realized how insane the DS line-up was becoming. I already had my purchased planned out, then look what turns up:

The Dark Spire

Yeah, coz the 2 EO games weren't wizardry enough for me, now someone just makes Wizardry for the DS.

But man, even if this isn't your thing, Atlus is putting out like 3 other titles for the DS in march....crazy![/url]

FROM's Demon's Souls on PS3 - Watched some niconico videos and loved it.
Network implementation is very unique too in this game; like, being an ass and use your black stone item
to draw other players into your adventure & kill them off. 8)

Recently this game called Demigod caught my attention. It's a RTS from the developers of Supreme Commander, so it's something to keep an eye on. I'll definitely try it out when the demo is released.

By the way, there's a BulletMagnet registered on their forums. Is it the same person here?

Nope, 'fraid that's not me. I'm surprised at how I've encountered that name at a few different places now (most notably on XBL).

Well, Dawn of War II was released recently, I am wondering whether I should just get it now, or wait until a Gold edition is released (if ever).

Also, I forgot that Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor will be released soon.

I'm looking forward to a 2D Metroid for the Nintendo DS, but I guess I might as well hope for world peace.. non of them will happen.

On the list of what will happen I'm looking forward to Tales of Vesperia. Europe won't get it until June or so. So lame...

Is it because they're going to translate the game to German, Italian, French and Spanish? Why can't they read in English like the rest of us? Damnit...
They should use that time to put some (good) Japanese voices in the game instead, and release the game pretty much at the same time worldwide.

Anyway, I don't think I'm looking forward to anything else this year.
