I guess most of them either got old while waiting for PS3 or fled and joined the MS ranks after witnessing Sony's lies, delays and all the ass-hattery before the actual PS3 launch in their respective continents. And again, I don't think Sony is "running last". What does that even mean? Because it has sold less than Wii? Because it has been on the market a year less than X360? Sony undeniably delivered the best device of this generation, and the game library and lineup already beat Wii and rival X360. Ok, it costs more. With a price cut it will surely keep up with X360 sales.Skykid wrote:What happened to allof the ones they've had for the last fifteen years? I read the posts, why don't you read my posts again and try to see the points behind those capital letters and swear words?Really immature. I'm not moderating this thread, but this is exactly the kind of rubbish I've been hoping we could avoid. Perhaps re-read the posts so far, listen to other comments (rather than just mine) by PS3 owners who feel they aren't getting a great deal from the machine, and then we can get things back on track.Shocky wrote:QUITE FUCKING MANY XBOTS HAVE HAD TO BUY TWO OR MORE CONSOLES BECAUSE THE SHODDY THING DIED ON THEM.
I just put some emphasis on it to express my amazement on how this kind of business is possible. I've witnessed it happen a couple of times (an Xbox dying of non-RROD reasons, out of guarantee), first the owners swear they'll never touch a MS product again but eventually end up buying the system again because of the games they already own. Usually after buying a PS3 in the meanwhile. And the X360 sales go up. Nice.
I really don't think the owners of both consoles are so common that they affect the sales of PS3 or its games noticeably. But people will be more inclined to choose the console that their friend network chooses. Over there it seems to be X360, over here it's PS3.We know the PS3 has plenty of games, we know a lot are multi format though. Does anyone else think the reason PS3's aren't selling as well as expected is because given the choice between COD 5 (for example) on PS3 or Xbox, owners who have both consoles invariably go for the xbox version because of Live's capabilities (and the fact they're paying for Live and want to make use of it?) - or is it more a question of the pricing of the PS3 that's most damaging?
The only phenomenon I've witnessed is that owners of both consoles choose the PS3 version, because they've grown to fear that their Xbox will crap out on them mid-game. It sucks to wait for a replacement while the game is still new and hot.
