You sure you don't mean Capcom's AvP? Konami's Aliens isn't exactly a beat'em up...
And yeah, Battle Circuit gets my vote - awesome game and artstyle.

I salute you.
It sure stopped me enjoying shock troopers 2.
Huge graphical disappointment after the first one.

ST2 isnt that bad.....its certainly not as good as the first one, and the style is way different (almost comedic) but its still a decent game.....
shock troopers is a classic to be sure...actually just picked up the cart a few weeks ago

well it is the first aliens scroling stye game with a large % of beat em up sections so yes i do mean the konami game. I get what your saying though its not entirley beat em up, Yeah they use guns and theres sections inside the vents but its still a great beat em up. . . when it wants to be
I played alien syndrome the arcade port is so much better than the megadrive one. still has not aged as well as I would like.

Gameplay wise it's still cool but the graphics are just ugly IMO.

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon is nice, even if you don't like Sailor Moon.
And Batman Returns for the SNES.

I love that game. It get's kinda wonky when you are fighting zombies and crap, but it's still cool. I got the PCB as classic Konami has loads of replay value for me

My first exposure to this game was on the SMS. I was curious how the PS2 re-release was...

How about "Too Crude." Anyone remember that one?
How about the best "surfing beat'em-up," "Riding Hero."
How about "Tecmo Knight!"
charlie chong wrote: me n my mate played through guardians of the hood the other night.. it almost made me cry at how shite it was
I actually own this game
I think 8 1/2 and I played through it when he was visiting. It's one of those games that's so horrid it's fun, not unlike MST3K.

Really, no one mentions Die Hard Arcade on the Saturn? That game is fun as hell. Dreadful, awful cutscenes, but so much fun.

Dude whatever, that game has tons of depth and it still controls really well. Far better than Battletoads/Double Dragon. Die Hard Arcade operates on similar principles to Streets of Rage. Notably, the walk-into-a-guy-to-grab-them. Plus, I can play it with my kid.

Don't forget the original, baby! Neketsu Kouha Kunio-kun!!
Everyone seems to hate it, but I think it's fun. Only takes like five minutes to clear, so it's good for some quick brawling action.

Your on crack, it's basically 2-D. Not a damn thing wrong with it.
Some good 3-D beat em ups are:
Urban Reign(PS2)
God Hand(PS2)
Fighting Force(N64 PS1)
Dynamite Cop/Dynamite Deka2(DC Arcade)
Spike Out(Xbox Arcade)
The Bouncer(PS2)
Zombie Revenge(Arcade DC)
Their's also Demolish Fist not sure how good it is though.
