I must be the only person in the world who thought Golden eye sucked. I always played a lot of first person shooters on the PC and could not understand why everyone thought this was the shit. 4 player split screen is not how you want to play a FPS at all. yes the graphics were dire and in my opinion the controls were shite too alough you could change them a hell of a lot.

Also i never played RSG until about 2 years ago. I really enjoyed it on the SS. Still need to invest in panzer dragoon saga but its just a little pricey to indulge in a game which is rare despite the more than glowing reviews.

I felt the same way when Halo came out for the Xbox and I was thinking... why are people praising the game so much? It's nothing special in my opinion.. just another FPS. I did however enjoy Golden eye when it first came out. Not because I was into FPS but because it was fun playing with my buddies back then. Hell any N64 game that had 4 players back then was great.

Panzer Dragoon Saga is my favourite RPG, I was fortunate enough to have gotten this game accidentally thinking it was Panzer Dragoon Zwei, the best mistake I had ever made.

When I first got my Saturn, I had no games and was looking for a couple of titles I played before. Buddy of mine had the game and he traded it to me for some crappy Dreamcast games at the time. To my surprise I was disappointed because it wasn't the Rail shooter I was looking for. I quickly dropped the game after 15 minutes. I decided to give the game a second chance because my library of games at the time was quit small. To my surprise I fell in love with it not too long after playing through disc one.

Anyways you gotta try it out, I've played this game 3 times through already and it still is fun. It's not like any other RPG it's fairly short. I can beat it within 9 hours or less but every moment of it was extremely fun. The battle system is very strategy and deep, it feels as if your actually playing the actual rail shooter.

I love the game so much that I'm actually planning on picking up the Pal version due to it's beautiful box art.

The thing holding me back from Okami was that damn block that you had to put points on in just the right place and in order. I had to use my camera and film the sequence to be able to get it right.
the wall demon thing right, where it changes random orders everytime u try again, i hate that bugger too :) lol

I put a piece of plastic wrap on my tv and dotted the spots with a marker.

Lordstar, you are not alone.

Goldeneye skates by on nostalgia. I didn't like the premise, the controls, or the graphics. It was the first competent console FPS, so that's why I feel it was so popular. Being on a console with splitscreen were the only redeeming factors... it was more accessible to play with friends than PC FPS games.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Lordstar, you aren't alone. I dislike GoldenEye too. Last I tried it anyway.

This issue stems more from the fact when GE was popular I had no Nintendo64 (I've never owned one) and pretty much everyone in my town had it. So on the rare occasion I'd hang out with someone then go over to someone elses house to hang out the N64 of the house would get busted out and inevitably so would GE too.

Simply because I didn't have an N64 and didn't play console games in general at the time made for lacklustre experience. I didn't have a good grasp of the controls and I was generally dead last in any matches. So for me GoldenEye doesn't come with good memories and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
