Do you really love this girlfriend that much that you must pain yourself and her to though the heart ache of trying to convince her that it really is a scam.
Some people will believe anything but more importantley people want to belive something. Introduce her to budisim or something that does not require a subscription to get on "the other side"

Bet everyone in this thread felt proud the day they deciphered scientology. Must've been a relief to unpin all those Hubbard quotes from the wall.

There's a video around of the only video taped interview with the founder of Scientology (don't remember his name). They give it out at some scientology museum or something. but anyways, my point is that in an hour and a half the founder of the 'religion' (who was a freaking science fiction author) was entirely unable to summarize what the hell it's about. To me if the guy that started it all can't explain it then it must be a bunch of bs.
Actually I keep a "newspaper" rag they handed out on my desk at all times.JoshF wrote:Bet everyone in this thread felt proud the day they deciphered scientology. Must've been a relief to unpin all those Hubbard quotes from the wall.
Granted I keep everything there, and never use the desk for much, but it's the thought that counts.
I also bought one of the books in his Battlefield series at a thrift, just to see what it was about. I didn't read enough to see whether I could call him a bad writer with certainty, because what I did read was pretty racist by today's standards.

Ctrl+F "money"
My friend got over a dozen of his books for a single dollar at the library. Most were about dianetics. I took part of an afternoon to peruse Self Analysis.
That book is one of the single most hefty piles of bullshit I've ever held in my own two hands.
It's very sad how such an attempt at moneymaking can be so successful, yet so deceptive and life-ruining. At least with something like Catholicism they don't fuck you for $200 a pop.
I don't know whether I'd feel bad about leaving someone I cared enough about to date to drown in that abyss...

Yes the summoning of the endless vortex is best saved for threads like this. It takes a lot of energy so we have to save it for key times of stupidity.
Really, everytime the quote vortex is summoned 5 whales beach themselves and 10 of those 300 year old African trees are burned to the ground.

Never_Scurred,
Like most members around here have told you, Scientology is a scam. It is a pyramid scheme or pyramid game, designed to lure people inside it and make them spend all their money.
As the Church of Scientology is built up on an pyramid scheme, they must prevent people from reading the books that they are supposed to buy, and the Church of Scientology do it by violating the freedom of the press.
They,
1.
Ensure that their books are Copyrighted.
2.
They sue people that are "doing harm on the Copyright."
All with the consent of the USA.
It looks okay. Does it?
well it is not:
-They are using the copyright on their books so that the masses do not know what they are singing up to.-
Today,
Church of Scientology is waging an all time war against Internet and people that are revealing secrets about them or posting their books or part of them on the web.
Church of Scientology is an threat of global scale. They lure you in, and when you try to leave they harass you.

They failed. But it only slowed them down.
Your Post:
No. Church of Scientology will not be destroyed in any time soon. They have to much power over the Government of USA.
