This was just released, is anyone going to try it lol?

From the looks of it, I think the only proficiency you'll be getting from MJC is just speaking proficiency and such...unless they throw in hiragana, katakana, and kanji later on.

Also, blame Ubisoft for having to deal with an ordinary adult in a kimono. :o

I see they are already teaching Engrish. When you fully Master.....

I love how in Engrish you capitalize words you think are important regardless of them being proper nouns.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

Unless it has kanji with stroke order, that is; a lot of them + a dictionary.

Compyuuta? Comfy? Cowpie? Creampie? What?

Maybe that's a level of Japanese more advanced than I am.

Aren't these things more useful when combined with other methods of studying rather than using them as your sole method of learning?

I think it's Kampai, derived from the Chinese, Gambei.

spelled w/ n, pronounced w/ m

I'm pretty sure it happens any time n is followed by a p sound.

Yeah, I don't know the hard fast rule - or if there is one - but I've never seen it spelled "kampai" even though that's a "correct" romanization in terms of how some people pronounce it. But really, Japanese katakana/hiragana don't exactly equal the romanized letters. ん is it's own Japanese sound, not an English "n" per se. But you guys know that. :P

Actually, "Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten" is a much better DS game, when it comes to Japanese learning software.

HAHAHAHA SO SOOO FUCKING TRUE!

to my defense though I was not permitted to do GCSE's when I was in high school and I am heavily dyslexic.

Lolling at all the brats at GFAQs who think this will help them watch anime raws and play JRPGs like it's a fucking magic bullet. You just know they're going to give up in a week. I do have a bit more faith in the people getting this for other reasons though, but not much more. (yeah I'm in denial)
