Any of the blue spread patterns in level 6 become really difficult to dodge due to the lack of slowdown. I have a lot more trouble navigating through those than I do any of the patterns in level 7.

this is actually a very interesting point... :shock:

does a list exist of home-ports that are faster/harder than the real thing because of eliminated slowdown?

i read in some review that et al. the DC-port of Twinke Star Sprites has this same kind of "problem" (but as a special feature let's you choose to "turn on slowdown" in the options)

DC TSS has 3 different emulation/speed settings, if you will: 68000 at 10 Mhz (don't know why you'd want to use this setting unless you really want to play the game in slowmotion), Neo-Geo (apes the original hardware's slowdown fairly well) and DC (almost all slowdown is completely removed).

DC Giga Wing changes some of the patterns to take into account the lack of slowdown, at least.
