I'd appreciate it if you could stop posting gibberish, Shoe. You've been warned plenty of times already.

I agree about the graphics, they do seem IMO to be extremely well done.
I also just have this thing about the 1st stage's jazzy music score. I could listen to that for...well, a long time anyway.

Oh, you were too busy writing things like this lolSo R-Type Final blows away nearly every shooter in the replay category
I used to think Leo was alright, but it's basically another shooter where you crawl through stage by stage and try not to get hit and to hit the few enemies that appear (at least on normal difficuly).

So like, I don't like how crappy the speed is without speedups and stuff (like, when you die and can't recover lol)
Not as bad as gradius but ya
Speedups seem to raise speed to double when maxed out iirc

I like it. In stark contrast to the regular R-Type games, Leo has a very uplifting, easygoing atmosphere and quirky leveldesign (apart from the boring first stage). Great shiny detailed graphics (as most Irem titles), smooth and funky soundtrack. Also pretty forgiving, not nearly as much of a memorizer as other R-Types. Quite a relaxing game.

Huh. Sounds like a "shmup" (also known as "shoot 'em up") to me. Could anyone clarify this?Ed Oscuro wrote:I used to think <game> was alright, but it's basically another shooter where you crawl through stage by stage and try not to get hit and to hit the few enemies that appear (at least on normal difficuly).

Generic rant towards old-school style of sorts, if I understand it correctly.LGB wrote:Huh. Sounds like a "shmup" (also known as "shoot 'em up") to me.
