ARCADIA, can you tell what makes Mizbak Adventure better than Bubble Bobble?

(the game looks pretty fun)

Impossible question, but lately I've really been enjoying Mysterious Stones: Dr. John's Adventure. Great scoring game, but I think there is a glitch that kills you when you try to escape, and it kind of ruins the fun :?

What adventure?

Also, Bloodreign can answer this, as he is another fan of Liquid Kids.

By the way, I completely forgot about Castlevania...was having some fun with Super CV IV. Lots of arrghtastic deaths though.

Castlevania IV and the PCE CD version are awesome. Not arcade games though

and the only arcade version of Akumajou Dracula isn't very good.

Actually you can't compare Mizubaku Daibouken to Bubble Bobble, sure both are made by Taito, but one's a single screen platformer that's addicting as crack, the other a solid platformer starring a platypus (?) or hippo, or something.

Bubble Bobble is a far longer playing experience as Mizubaku has far fewer stages than BB has. MD (or Liquid Kids) is quite fun though as it falls into the same category as New Zealand Story, just not quite as difficult.

It's not that bad, the difficulty is the only downside (the PS2 version comes with a superplay dvd though, making progress slightly easier) - still one of the most difficult arcade games i've played.

Heavy Barrel

I always liked the games with rotary joysticks, and this was my favorite of the bunch. Ikari Warriors and Time Soldiers were also really fun. It's an experience that's never been correctly simulated on a home console.

Virtua Cop 2.
Or maybe Alien Syndrome. Or Outrun 2.
Hmm... this is hard.

I can't say I have *ONE* favorite. That's just impossible.

So, I'll just vote for the one I spent more credits in my life: Daytona USA.

I'd have to chose Mr.Driller for the moment I guess.
Though I like lightgun games very much too.

Anyone played Warlords by Atari (1980)?

Medieval kind of air hockey with up to 4 players action, very addicting. I wish they would make an online game out of the concept.

I think that one ended up on a Dreamcast Atari compilation a ways back...probably made it onto other comps too, though that's the only one I'm sure of.

Cool game, but I honestly like the 2600 version better - it's less complex (graphically and otherwise), but, when coupled with four paddle controllers and a group of slightly nutty older gamers, is perhaps my personal favorite multiplayer game of all time.

 , This means theres a way to play Warlords with 4 players on a Dreamcast, awesome! :D

(I wonder if the dreamcast controller does this game justice though)

I would vote Rainbow "freakin'" Islands too if 2 choices were given.

SUPER PUZZLE FIGHTER II X

Mr. Driller is a real close second, though.

I didn't even realize these were originally arcade games for years.
And I almost threw my PS2 against the wall when I found out about the incompatibility problems with the slim model. :x

My favorite probably Rastan. Played a lot of that as a younger man.

Word to these. One day I will get a proper controller to play on the old Supergun.

I got really into NFL Blitz in college. Me and a few other guys got pretty competitive. It was basically my minor.

I was always best at S.T.U.N. Runner. Probably the only arcade game I was good enough to put my initials in.
