Yes, thread successfully derailed.

There are some obscure japanese DC games that I never bothered getting due to lack of info but alot of the weirder ones could be very good anyone any suggestions?

Cool Cool Toon? Last Blade final? Love Hina, Sakura wars? that sort of stuff. Dance dance revolution?

That's the truth, man. Yeah, arcade only for the hardcore. Casual players probably wouldn't notice/care about the version differences anyway.

Super Puzzle Fighter IIX (nobody can deny this is the best version out of all of them currently released, and super hard to find/freaking expensive).
Sakura Columns 2 (Ditto, but the price is not as bad as Puzzle Fighter's, I hope)
Chu Chu Rocket! (For some reason, people who play this always burst out into uncontrollable laughter)
Tech Romancer, aka Choukousenki Kikaoh
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram (get two Dreamcasts, two twinsticks, two VGA boxes, and a link cable = godly. I need a lot of cash for that though)
Twinkle Star Sprites (for the no-slowdown feature that I hear you can turn on in this version)
Space Channel Five (I still need to finish that one...)
Puyo Puyo Fever (maybe... I'm still staring at my copy's unopened shrink wrap since it just arrived in the mail today)

I seem to be cursed in getting Dreamcast games. You see, every time I am able to buy one of the games I've been eying on for awhile, it immediately disappears from the store's stock. That is most annoying.

I'm still after ideas on obscure titles, that super puzzle fighter is hilarious every time i see dan. I'll check it out puyo puyo fever has that series evolved at all?? I mean its arcade adictive hell but do they change.

Thats the new update that changes the DC starter menu isn't it? floating thing you zoom in and out of.

If you don't already have it, I'd recommend Puyo Puyo 4 - which has 3and 4 player support as well as a ton of features. PP-Fever is 2P only.

Man, I wish someone would figure out a way to get Alien Front online again (whatever happened tot hat online project for VOOT some guy was working on? ) I had such a blast playing that online every night, I would annoy people with the mic all the time.

Oh yeah, and earthlink's outfarmed crap servers for Bomerman Online COMPLETELY RUINED that game. I played TWICE online the entire time the game had severs, and each time I got kicked off before the round could end.

Anyways in no particular order for me:

Ikaruga
Shenmue
Sonic Adventure 1
Soul Calibur
Bangaioh
Mars Matrix
Giga Wing 1 and 2
Cannon Spike
Zero Gunner 2
Tech Romancer - Underratted crazy anime cheese mech fighting. I need to get my friends into this one again.

I... really haven't had a good session with Puyo Puyo Fever just yet. Heck, I just stumbled across the language options right after I finished story mode (you can set the text and voice acting to English, but what sucks is that Sonic Team didn't sync the text flow with the character's speech if you set the text and audio to English like they did with the Japanse language/text). However, I LOVE the presentation/flow and new character designs of the game. Then again, Puyo Puyo~n (those silly Japanese and their puns) was the first game I picked up for the series. =\

Yeah, I did see a video where someone was manipulating the perspective of the DC menu screen once they put in the Puyo Puyo Fever disc in, but I haven't done that myself yet.

As for Sword of the Beserk... I didn't like it. The game felt really clunky.

toy commander was the 5th DC game i bought, one of my faves and truly not getting the recognition it deserved. the controls were fine and the missions were brilliant, everyone should own it, used to be worth alot on ebay.
