Holy crap! I scored 124 mil today! All thanks to going back to the PS2 controller...geez! Unfortunatly, I had restarted on stage 3 so I won't be posting this score. But, expect a fresh new score from me soon! :D

Basically I got a load of points from Stage 3.

Finally, progress!

How does the Jamma board save the scores?

Post by spadgy »

Hey - I've been playing a bit of Mushihimesama at Casino arcade and soething curious keeps happening (and I'm not being an idiot and looking at the 'Todays' high score screen!)

Basically I got 5th place, which made me happy. Then I got 2nd place which made me feel quite worthy. Then the next day, the 2nd place score had vanished, but the 5th place one was still there.

Next time around I got third place, and now that's vanished, but the 5th place is still there! Can anyone explain this?

It's not my week - I just lost all my 1CC Pysvariar saves of my memory card too!

The board at the Casino is quite bugged about scores saving. IIRC it also switches scores from a mode to another, sometimes :D

I see - thanks for that! At least I know I didn't dream getting to 2nd - but at the same time it probably means if other's scores have been lost too, I'd actually be 102nd!

I'd better get back down there!

Is this common with the Mushihimesama boards or something? The board they're running at my school arcade does the same thing with the "highest-ever" scores that appear after the "today" scores. My MANIAC high score always shows up as the ULTRA high score. It's actually kind of funny because it looks like I rocked ULTRA, when, in actuality, I can only make it to the level 2 boss on a good day.

So it seems. It's an issue of the early printed boards I think, other guys could be more specific about this, because the thing was discussed in the past here and in the hardware section of the forum.

I read some of the score table bugs about the game before I picked it up, but didn't pay it too much mind. There's something about Maniac and Ultra sharing the same table. Also that only the top score on Original will save. On my board when I finally beat the JP top score twice (lower on the second run), it saves only when you get the very top score. We're a bit confused with Maniac/Ultra, I somehow got 4th on Maniac and the score stayed, yet my friend who always scores higher doesn't have any of his scores there. When he beat the Maniac top, it went over to Ultra. Kinda weird. My Maniac score also saved on Ultra, they're both exactly the same. Not sure how the score tables share.

I Finally made a 1cc in the arrange mode. The scoring was not so good, so I have no new score to update. But that doesn't bother me atm. I got it \o/

I improved my Stage 2 score by about 200k, but still not another NO MISS clear. Ending score for Stage 2 is about 4.4 mil; any pointers on how to better milk the nanabushi? I'm using S-power ^^;

I won't be updating this high score thread anymore. So someone else may open up a new one if they want to update it regularly.

If you want to post in any of the high score threads at my cave forum, feel welcome. I will be updating those regularly.
