Soon the PCE, Saturn and Dreamcast will be down to handful of exclusives.
Why? Many other classic Taito games ported to SS aren't in the list, either.LoneSage wrote: Is anyone else really happy about Pulirula being on thereKinda surprised Gun Frontier isn't on there since Pulirula and Metal Black are.
I thought the big Capcom love-in pack was a sure thing...?Cthulhu wrote: Capcom recently re-released the Capcom Generations 1 & 2 collections along with a mini-strategy guide, so I don't think a Capcom collection is in the cards for now. It would sure be nice if I was wrong though.

Not at all.But I don't understand...why Darius Gaiden and Elevator Action Returns (got a recent GBA release, right)?
As you can see, they're not there. Are New Zealand Story and Chack N' Pop there?
No chances. It's not a "true" Taito game. The other great shooter missing from this collection is Ryu Jin (AKA dragong god). Maybe for the next collection...
Don't sell your Saturn versions just yet. All these games on this comp will be played in flickery high-res, and may not even be emulated properly. Not to mention the less responsive PS2 d-pad.Nei First wrote:Does anyone feel the PS2 is soon becoming the leading console for Shmups?

Which ones are those games' flaws in MAME? Darius Gaiden may get soon perfect emulation since Mish was working again on the driver, but I'm not sure if he's aware of the problems, while Metal Black got a driver reveision recently which supposedly fixed every alpha-blending-related bugs.jp wrote:both of which already emulate everything on that list fairly well (not Metal Black and Darius Gaiden though, but I'm sure they'll see to it that they're decent ports).
Dude, I'm all about PuLiRuLa. I played it w/ Gregbower, Jon and Spec, a while back and thought it was a riot. Definitely a reason to buy!LoneSage wrote:OMFGIEZ, this is awesome...they better release it stateside!

Might make Vol. 2, but take into consideration that multiple versions of those games got PS1 releases, alreadyBrianC wrote:Pretty good list, but no Arkanoid, Qix, or Volfied? Hopefully, those will be in the second collection.

Because those three were part of the Arcade Gears releases on SS, it would have been nice to see a complete trifecta.Recap wrote:Why? SS Metal Black was not part of the Arcade Gears series. It was made and published by Ving.LoneSage wrote:Because those three were part of the Arcade Gears releases on SS, it would have been nice to see a complete trifecta.Recap wrote:Why?
