you mean character select and endings, they arent on the clear screens

Well if you want free doujin point them to some of the contest entries for this year's shmup-dev compo. My personal favourites being Varia, Kamiha, Drone Swarm, Akuchizoku, Garden of Lights, and Tanks A Lot ...... but they're all great so try them all

Outside of shmup-dev there's also Warning Forever and r-Rootage which I highly recommend

Who remembers the Amiga shmup making software called, rather boringly, 'Shoot-'em-up Construction Kit'? It was maybe out in 1993, and rather crap - I was about 13 when that came out. You could draw your own enemies and bullets and set paths and stuff.

Being that age, I made one with my mate John where you piloted an enormous cock, that flung seaman into the oncoming female genitalia and breasts. Pathetic, embarrassing, and god dam manly as hell, It was simply title 'The Spunk', and I still have it on disk somewhere.

Strangely enough, I didn't end up gay, or in bed with John in later life....

I remember having a great time messing around with Shoot Em Up Construction Kit back in the day, even though my creations were much simpler and not as manly!

Yeah sorry - things are wandering off topic! She's pretty shit hot on Dodonpachi (Higher score than me!), but we've certainly mentioned that one here. Perhaps a female shmupper is actually the best person to ask about manly shmups, rather than a guy. After all, they pick up on what's manly and what isn't.

I'll ask her, but I'm not very manly, so who knows how good she'll be...
