More Under Defeat. I've been messing around with some different tactics in an attempt to squeeze more points from the game. Managing to take my boss destroy time for the stage 2 boss from 8 seconds to 3 seconds was a good start.

I've returned to playing shooties after taking a break (last game played was Giga Wing during the STGT'07)

Now I take a break from Illusion of Gaia and have played some:

DonPachi (was not feeling it)
and
Battle Garegga (having some fun here :D )

MUTHAFUCKIN Giga Wing 2. I think I may have found a game that makes me swear and reset the first level more than Giga Wing 1, Ikaruga, and Dai-Ou-Jou combined.

I played Great Mahou for a few hours yesterday, and a few hours the day before that. I also played some Mars Matrix, but I didn't like it that much.
Get out your iron-e meter, twiddle.
The chaining system is way too anal for me.

I played Batsugun last night. Got into some sort of trance and beat Jupiter. I was very happy. Granted, I used five bombs on his ass.

Every now and then I play a round of Gradius 3 (arc) and get my ass kicked at the bubbles. I'm getting back into Mushihihime-sama 'cause I finally beat my old high score (after trying to use my HRAP2 to score for ...too long, went back to the PS2 pad.)

Also been playing some R-Type here and there, savestated through Super R-Type to see the rest of the game. I've been turned on to the R-Type series lately, too. Most of 'em are quality.

I decided to play Blazing Star again.

I've been so occupied with other games I forgot how awesome this game is.

1942 as well.

Turbo Force - very unpredictable, because of the random <?> icons, require you to analyse the situation and react quickly... memorization is not very helpful... also the homing shots and indestructible heatseekers can be quite annoying at times.

I love Gaia, what an excellent game; still one of my favorites ever.

And as for shmup games Im playing, Raiden 3's Double Play mode.

Golly is this ever fun, but it's also hard.

Finally getting used to it though; gonna try for real scoring runs here soon.

I enjoy these games much myself. I am currently playing them in order :D I finished Soul Blazer a couple weeks ago and will move to Terranigma upon completion of Gaia :)

And for shooting game,
I have played some Eliminate Down and some Gleylancer and…
I am in the mood to play some Keio Flying Squadron when I arrive home from work today :D

Switched to a pad and managed to 3cc DOJ yesterday. Only 1mm away from a 2cc too. If only I could chain this game to any degree of proficiency...

mmmmh gyruss. Tonight I ended up on Mars. And the nice thing is that I couldn't play with the pad! Mars with arrow keys makes me feel yo.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

Undesired, unwanted them...
What makes them go?

Terra Cresta. And just tried Star Force in MAME-- so much better than the XBox port! Not sure about whether one should have any sort of autofire in Star Force.

I'm playing Senko no Ronde for score, don't ask why. (Actually, it's something I do when I can't find any matches. ) I don't feel like I am doing very well, but I'm 19th for Karel. Not so bad, highest non Japanese. ;)

I find that shmup fans have WAY WAY WAY better taste in RPGs than RPG fans. If you think about it, that's not surprising at all. ;) Anyway, Soul Blazer trilogy is amazing and gets even better with each installment. It's one of the few RPG series with real thematic coherence, much like a movie trilogy like Three Colors.
