NCSX offering Hori Real Arcade Pro v2.0 again...
The following link listed below mentions that National Console Support Inc. is taking orders for the newly re-stocked Hori Real Arcade Pro v2.0 iteration arcade stick for the PS2 console. However, it's been priced at a whopping $175.00 USD. If you want one of these puppies badly enough, just be prepared to "bite the bullet & pay through the nose" for one..... ^_~

So I take it that $100 shipped for a HRAP 2 is a good deal? This seller on ebay has 500 available at buy it now for $89.99 and I'm flirting with purchasing it....any input from people who have put in more research on pricing for the HRAP 2?

Thats a toughy. i know PS2 controllers are technically NOT supposed to work with the PS1, but i have myself tried a Pelican real arcade pro with a PS1 and it worked great. i dont know if it registers the same as a dual shock 2, so that might be why it worked.Fighter17 wrote:Will these work for the PS1?

"Some prefer the Seimitsu LS-32 stick,
and you can put this in a HRAP 1 (v.1) and HRAP 2, but not in a HRAP 1 (v.2, with the non-mirror top). "
^ Something EOJ said in a previous HRAP1/2 thread.
So this is a HRAP 1 v2? What does a HRAP2 look like then? I'm wanting a model that can use both sanwa and seimitsu so I can try out both eventually.

For those curious, this thread's been done.

Plenty of info there.
Regarding Seimitsu LS-32:
I have an LS-32-01 in my RAP1 v1. Had to remove and rotate the mounting plate 90deg to fit it in. I think there's an issue with the RAP1 v2 that doesn't allow the LS-32 to be fitted (check above posted thread for more info).
Stick is awesome, by the way. Recommended. Definitely worth getting for PS2, PSX, PC and supergun usage. Although you'll have to move the buttons around a bit if you're going to use a PS2>Neo adaptor for supergun usage. ^_-

Yeah I read through that thread. It looks like the ones that are on ebay are HRAP 2 not Hrap1 v 2? Hrap1v2 being black base with grey non reflective top and hrap2 being white base? Just trying to figure out the difference.

I think you have the 2 mixed up. AFAIK, all PS1 games work with PS2 controllers but quite a few PS2 games don't work in part/full with PS1 controllers.aphexacid wrote:Thats a toughy. i know PS2 controllers are technically NOT supposed to work with the PS1, but i have myself tried a Pelican real arcade pro with a PS1 and it worked great. i dont know if it registers the same as a dual shock 2, so that might be why it worked.Fighter17 wrote:Will these work for the PS1?
No, he asked if he could use this PS2 controller/stick on a PS1 system.Ganelon wrote:I think you have the 2 mixed up. I'm saying your source for PS2 controllers not working on the PS1 is incorrect (since Sony always said that was fine) and that you were confusing that with what Sony said about PS1 controllers working on the PS2 (where there would be some technical issues).aphexacid wrote:No, he asked if he could use this PS2 controller/stick on a PS1 system.Ganelon wrote:I think you have the 2 mixed up. Anyway, Seimitsu is a lot stiffer than Sanwa (not as much as US sticks though) with very audible switches.
My stick had a Sanwa in originally, and I hated it. I grew up in an arcade playing shooting games like Raiden, and tend to prefer precise, instant control. And the Sanwa, for all the time I gave it, felt too loose to me. The stick needed to be "thrown" quite a fair distance before any kind of on-screen movement was made, and as you should know, a split-second of slowness in a shooting game spells death.RGC wrote:Just out of interest, did you not get on with the Sanwa stick for shooting games? I'm using an HRAP2 with all Sanwa parts, but I'm quite curious to know how Seimitsu sticks differ.
The Seimitsu stick is far more responsive to me, and needs only a tiny amount of throw before it clicks. Funnily enough, it is to sticks what Sanwa is to buttons (very sensitive). I suppose if you gave it enough time, you could get used to a Sanwa stick, but for me, Seimitsu all the way.
