i got this when it was released and was real dissapointed by the game as i just found it too hard(and im no beginner at garegga either)
well i finally got past the dissapointment and started playing a bit last week and at least now i can consistently get past the 2nd boss !!
the strategy thread also gave me a few pointers how to start scoring better to gain extends etc....
hopefully by next week i will beat that 3rd boss and make it to the 3rd extend!

After endless months going nowhere with this game, I finally managed to put together everything I've learned so far into one run, bumping my arcade mode score up by nearly 1.5M over my previous record.

I know what you're talkin' about :)

Yagawa shooters are definitely not for all... but I WANT to 1CC at least one now or then in my life... it'll probably be Garegga :)

I'll be in the hardcore raizing club for men as soon as I get a supergun and pcb and a tv that allows me to fuck with overscan settings / stop playing Raiden Fighters Jet.

Though a cab + pcb just might be cheaper.

Scores updated.

I'm considering splitting Arcade and Arrange Mode tables into seperates for both Bond and Dyne. My reasoning is that both have different scoring capabilities and strategies, and it'd be interesting to see players try one or both. Opinions?

Do it, personally bond has more poor scoring due to his less wider bomb unlike dyne... really (Type D's but bond has much stronger shot) sure everyone has different scoring methods with both bond and dyne

Yeah, do it! It would be really fun to have some incentive to play with Dyne.

i would be against it for two reasons:

1. i play on a supergun that doesn't let me play on the 2-player side, unless both 1P and 2P are playing the same time

2. my pcb has all my scores saved. so even if i switched to dyne, my lowest score saved is something like 8.5mill. i don't like the idea of wiping my saved scores, and it would take me a long time to get a dyne score on my top 10. and think of gakidou's saved score board!

***

how about......1 table for each person? that way we are all number 1!

just kidding. but maybe trim 'em down a bit....?
those 1 mill scores are embarassing

A Dyne table would be great. And you should cap each table at 20 slots. Make it somewhat of a challenge to get on the high score charts!

I have no problem plugging in my joystick to the 2P slot and playing as the 2P in any game. What's wrong with yours??

Tried playing a bit with Dyne today, and holy shit is he hard to get used to. Even the A+B/D type is extremely slow, and one extra annoying aspect is that the aim of his options is inverted (go right and the options aim left and vice versa). His shot and bombs are a lot stronger than Bond, and shot is a lot wider, but this doesn't quite balance up his slowness IMO. It certainly is a fun challenge though.

I'm all for a Dyne table. As for the 20 cap, if ever there was a game that didn't need to be more challenging, it would be Ibara. We're talking about a game where only three of the 51 people on the arcade normal table have posted an ALL. Keep it open to all, I say.

Just did this one, certain I could get a ton more points if I put some effort into Stage 5 and 6, especially the final boss (which I just double Hadougun'ed).

Just how do you do it, Archer?

Scores updated.

Regarding tablesplitting:
Keep the feedback coming. I'm going to wait until the weekend before I decide to table split or not. Reason being I'd like to do it, but I'd personally like to avoid the "Espgaluda" situation, where the tables were split due to demand, and then everyone goes and plays the easy character anyway.

So i actually gave it a go and i have to say that i could enjoy Ibara again!
Dyne is VERY difficult to use and i wasnt even able to trigger the extend because of his wide shot...
This couldve been a MUCH higher score but since it was my first credit with Dyne (and my first credit after 6 months of not playing Ibara) i wasnt able to milk anything and broke my medal chain every here and there.
Oh and please split the boards asap :)

Wow, that's around 500-600,000 over KMT's current WR right? Amazing. Tried running the page through Nifty but didn't pick up much except that he is annoyed by the fact that it wasn't an ALL and that the mood of Theresa was good in this particular run. I wonder what the score limit is to this game... I guess an X score is possible, since destroying the last boss gives a couple of 100K too.
