Maybe it just won't happen. It hasn't started filming yet... it could still be canceled.Wikipedia wrote:Castlevania is a live-action film adaptation in pre-production based on the video game series Castlevania. Sylvain White will direct and write the film. Paul W.S. Anderson was previously attached to the project as a director and writer, but conceded his directing duties to pursue a remake of Death Race 2000. Production of Castlevania will begin in late fall 2007 in South Africa and Romania. The film is slated for a late 2008 release.
NOOOOOO!!!! Paul W.S. Anderson to direct Castlevania movie

I wonder if the animated movie still has any chance of being made? It had the potential to be good.

I think you're onto something there.Mortificator wrote:I liked Legacy of Darkness. If Konami had combined that game's level design with Lament of Innocence's combat engine they'd have had a really good game instead of couple of decent ones.
Too bad Konami's leading developers are addicted to "killing the night" and such.
No CastleVania movie then... hhmm.. Wow well, it’s probably for the better, considering how bad the recent Hollywood action films are, they would have most likely ruined it.
I would still love to see a movie or Anime made out of Symphony of the Night.
Yoshiaki Kawajiri would be the perfect choice to bring this on screen, seeing how well he uses the dark/sinister elements in his other Anime (Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust, Highlander - The Search for Vengeance)
