Best Japanese Supergun?
Since I can't buy a cab for a couple of years, I'm off to buy a jpn supergun.
What is the best jpn supergun at the moment? I love the looks of the boardmaster...but have heard the video encoder used isn't all that good. I have a CRT it's going to be connected to, is there also a way to display the pcb on a lcd?

You can play a Sigma AV7000 on anything that takes Composite, Svideo, or RGB input... it will be a 15khz signal though. None of the Sigma hardware that I know of supports 31khz, and I'm pretty sure most 31khz arcade hardware only supports 31khz (right?) so Naomi & GNet are out.
Also be warned, the Sigma AV7000 & accompanying 9000TB are well heavy. They will cost over 11,000 yen to ship to Europe from Japan. You need to be ready to spend about $500 USD to have someone get you a new set, with a harness. RGB/S-Video cables are seperate as well. Used sets are a bit cheaper, but not by a lot.

NAOMI does both (dip switches control frequency).GaijinPunch wrote:I'm pretty sure most 31khz arcade hardware only supports 31khz (right?) so Naomi & GNet are out.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention that G-Net runs low-rez fine, too. Trust me, I own it and run it that way
