Starts on the 20th (dates are in some first post to one of these threads). Voting is done a few days before.

And there will be a voting thread. Can't miss it.

Shooting Game Tournament 2007 (Registration Thread) wrote:Game Selection

Each Playing Week will have a certain theme, for example a company, subgenre, game series, system, release date. Five potentially interesting and probably easy to access games for this theme will be put into a pool. Now roughly 2 days before this playing week starts a special voting thread will be created. And the game which gets the most votes will be played.
^Rob is very right.

Konami week:- Will it be mainstream choices like Parodius, Salamander and Gradius series?

Or

Xexex
Lightning Fighters/Trigon
Typhoon/AJAX
Flak Attack/MX5000

:?:

Forget putting the Thundercross games in the voting, someone CS'd them.

You know, I was just thinking that a "poorly designed shooters" week would take away alot of choices from konami week.

I disagree. Mainstream != poor. That's what the hidden gems week is for anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing a non-mainstream Konami game get voted on, but at the same time, I rather play one that was ported than use MAME, though I will use MAME if I have to.

This is unfair

Twiddle is already practicing Omega Fighter.

I say ban Omega Fighter from the Hidden Week gem. ANd put only obscure Compile games.

I've just noticed the front page with the nominations and the defeated nominations.

Cyberd should be reconsidered. I played that in a Pentium 233 MXM with 32 mb flawless.

But it seems the game has a bug in the sound, sound stop playing after a while for no apparent reason. From what I got, it didn't happen only in my computer, so I believe it's a bug in the game.

But the score system is AWESOME... really AWESOME.

There are 2 different versions of the game, the normal and the "another".. one has bullet patterns with fast and more aimed bullets, while the other version has slow bullets, but in a huge amount, and less aimed ones.

The score system works the same in both versions, though I believe it's easier to score more in the slow bullet version because it's easier to buzz.

Even if it's not nominated this year, if we ever consider doujin games as an option, this one should be considered.

I like to find ways to abuse various mechanics in doujins.

I like to play old checkpoint shooters without any scoring system. Hidden gem week needs more of those.
