I think MM is the most accomplished of those games, though admit I've never really given Progear much of a chance.

Well, now that i've gotten around to downloading Dimahoo, i'll have to say that's a pretty cool game!
Question: If Raizing made 1944...why in the heck is it such a drawn out borefest? They're a pretty reliable company. Wonder what happened there.
But yeah, that's a good list. 19xx, Dimahoo, and Progear stand out for me.
Nothing wrong with GigaWing or Mars Matrix, but for some reason they don't really do it for me. I think I have some serious problems with MM's presentation. Doesn't look too hot to me. Interesting gameplay though!
I played ECO Fighters on CCC2, and was sorta like "this is kinda whatever"...at the same time as kind of getting into it. It was a strange experience. Not that good of a game though, I have to say.

I guess they did what Capcom told them to do, another game in Capcom's famous 19xx series, and entirely along the lines of those games. Dirty work to raise money for better games or their families, I don't really know what went on at 8ing at the time - but I doubt Yagawa (Batrider, Garegga, Bakraid) was still with them. 8ing today has very little to do with groundbreaking shooting games, strictly business I guess...
