Indeed he is not. JAPJAC runs Fanitsu.

JAPJAC always makes me giggle. I bet he still tries to sell NTSCJ software for £50+ and has that forum signature claiming he discovered Japan.

Bullets!
Manpuku mode replays available from GER. Files are large (stage 5 is 300 mb), so please be kind to the bandwidth. Final score is 106,992,580.

Staff list to follow. The typeface used and quality of the capture means that the accuracy of these names may not be perfect. I checked against my notes of other Cave games for spelling, but some names are new. Red names are preserved (Yagawa does this in his staff lists for new names).

Someone asked before in a different thread and got no answer, but what does AS KIKAKU mean?

Some mistake there it would seem. This person worked on Pink Sweets before.

thanks for transcribing, btw.

Well, the meaning of the red text was a guess. I know that he's been doing it since Garegga, but I wasn' t sure if it was contractors, new staff, new staff for his team, or something else.

Apparently it is not "new staff", thanks :)

I didn't think anything about this till you said it. :)

The red looks like it means 'female'....uh almost.

You can sort-of tell by the names anyway.
Thanks for the heads up on GER's replays, by the way.

Awsome Manpuku/Harder replay! You'd think GER would also be into Pink Sweets? Wish he would release some replays of that too. Although he definitely needs new hardware capture setup, this underwater thing is annoying.

Galford released some Shasta vids (harder mode, I believe). GER had a lace stage 5 vid up, along with a batrider run.

It has probably been stated before in this thread, but Muchi Muchi looks god-awful bland. From the bullet patterns to the aesthetics. I've checked out all the stage vids and they don't seem to improve further into the game.

I thought so as well, but after playing it I really got into it. Its different yet feels familiar in the cave fashion. I like the system how you can't always use your power shot, which adds some depth to it.

Anyone know if there will be a 1.5 in the future, or is this the version to get?

Edit: I have this game and absolutely love it. I still can't get over 36 mil in stage 4. My only gripe is if you drop your multiplier and you are going for score...its probably just better to start over.

KHD has posted two excellent Stage 1 vids on his site. I'll give the direct links as they're hard to find unless you can read Japanese:

Stage 1 (up to the boss - 12.5mil):
http://www.filebank.co.jp/wblink/7bdfb4 ... 477232d811

Stage 1 (boss - 17mil, total stage score of 29.5mil (!!!))
http://www.filebank.co.jp/wblink/5f62fd ... 98f2bda23b

Both videos are with Muchi Muchi Blue (Ikuo). Definitely check out the boss video, it's some crazy boss milking. Easily the most hardcore boss milking I've ever seen on a Stage 1 boss in any game (with the possible exception of Triggerheart).

Boss compilation video. Lots of milking....too much for me to handle in one sitting, I fell asleep during the 2nd boss.

That's not boss-milking, it's just a video to show how to time-out each boss fight (even the last one). And yeah, it's pretty boring.

I thought it was a pretty interesting example of pattern study, myself. A few boss attacks I've not seen in other vids were demonstrated there (like the pretty lucrative st3boss double gatling on the first form), as well as techs for dealing with particular attacks (like the safespot on the st2boss large turret).

You can get quite a lot of tricks from seemingly boring replays.

By the way, do you have the link to KHD's site?

No, the files were removed. He has two new files up, one of the Stage 3 midboss, the other of the Stage 3 Boss. Check out the movie link on his site to download them:

There is a full first loop-ALL run with Ikuo here in this torrent:

http://b-board.rdy.jp/torrent/details.p ... 026e7cc740

The file is 700+MB. Apparently it's a 240mil run (!!), which seems higher than the current WR, is it not? Anyway, should be some great stuff
to see in there.

Yes. You have to no-miss the first loop to get to the second loop. I think the farthest anyone has gotten in the 2nd loop is 2-5 (and that's LAOS).

That's a lot of scoring you have to sacrifice for a loop.

Well there's a lot of scoring in the second loop, and you can suicide there. I think LAOS's score is 245mil and it's not even a clear. Anyway, seems to a be a pretty tough 2-ALL.

What are the current records? Any differences between 2-X and 1-X besides more rank?
