All you need is a jamma compatible cabinet.

thanks zakk,
thats a relief.
I have found a cheap jamma cab where I live, but I wanted to make sure I could play modern games on it first.

Also worth mentioning that you need a vertical monitor. Obvious, yes, but you never know.

Ok, I did a bit of research and what you need is a monitor capable of handling a VGA (31khz) hi res signal.
So... besides jamma, I need a tri-sync monitor

For Splitlips,
Actually, the Cave produced Ibara arcade PCB kit is perfectly capable of supporting the true low resolution 15 kHz analog RGB monitors...so there's really no need to go with the tri-sync arcade monitor route (that supports the horizontal sync rates of 15 kHz/24 kHz/31 kHz) unless, if you want to start dealing with Sega Model 2 arcade motherboards, Sega Naomi 1 & 2, Taito Type X and/or Type X+ or Sammy/Sega Atomiswave mobo setups..... ^_~

Just to add, where the hell did you read that?
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Ibara only supports low res 15Khz, so no need for a hires cab unless you want to play Naomi games.
