I was 7 when this came out. If i had gotten that ending when i was little i would probably have died in a red-faced chuckle fit.
How do you think the decision for this ending came about down at Namco? "Hmm... well, we have regular endings that say something about the Galaga story for all the rest of them. Lets have you get propositioned for sex in the last one!"
I've never been able to finish the game to even worry about what the best ending says, after all those tough battles looks like she wants to give you some relief, the best thing after a long fight.
She's referring to the player as man, and she is the woman, naturally.
Regarding the plural, it could be that "demasculinization" of english spearheaded by those hardcore feminists who lobbied for children's books to be changed (lumberjack=woodcutter. Repairman=technician. And so on. Working Design's Dragon Force specifically refers to a female character as "women". [Seriously, these politically correct harpies must be terribly afraid of the word "man", the Y chromosome, and the p3n1s]), or just plain engrish.

... Two.
One to screw in the bulb and one to suck mah pen0r!
Is there actually a lady here to be offended?
Not likely. After all, there are no girls on the Internet. Anyone claiming to be a girl is actually a 47 year old man with his pants around his ankles. It's been scientifically proven.
Yeah, TD. Can I borrow your ding-dong and your hotrod?
Oh, yeah and I'd really like to have my copy of Trizeal back someday! I don't even think my combined borrow-time of your 3 PCEngine games adds up to the several months you've had my Trizeal! Fuckin' PLAY it at least!
In that spacial dimension women can make a special connection with just one man. When that spiritual connection is active, the woman will do anything a man can think off.
*waiting for female shmembers to come up with something equally insulting towards men, hehe "
I think the person typing the original phrase of "From now on, I want to be with you as a man and a women" was meaning to say "From now on, I want to be with you as a man and a woman" (grammatically correct sentence structure -- and not Engrish, of course). But you know how Engrish is -- sounds quirky but funny at the very least..... ^_~
