Mushihimesama Arrange, Is it the easy mode?
Because it's like incredibly easy even though it seems like at least maniac, but for some reason it's like ridiculously easy, is it just me? No I'm not bragging saying I'm good because I die A LOT on even maniac, but this seems easier but has the same patterns as maniac mode.

Yep, it's easier - you have six options from the start (you can only have max. 4 in the normal game modes) so that's extra firepower right there. Plus, autobomb is enabled. That is, whenever you're hit, Reko throws a bomb assuming there's any left in stock, thus saving you a life.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

It does seem easier, especially compared to Espgaluda Arcade/Arrange. I can get to exactly the same spot in Espgaluda arrange as I can in arcade mode. Yet with Mushi, I can only manage stage 3 even in original mode, but I can reach the final boss in arrange. The auto-bomb feature does play a big part though.

Nope. The patterns are Maniac with some Ultra parts thrown in, so sorta between the two modes. For example in the middle of Stage 3 the shots from the little enemies are as in Ultra mode, not Maniac. Its not slower than maniac either, same speed.LUNardei wrote:The patterns are the same, IIRC, and they are slower than Maniac mode.tekneekz wrote:i think the bullets and patterns are alot harder than maniac mode, only easier cause of the death bombs
Arrange is easy to 1CC, about the same difficulty as Original mode. I think it's a fun mode due to tossing out the tapping system and relying instead on proximity chaining. The longer time your chain suspends between enemy kills is also nice. You can tell they took a lot of the feeling from this when they designed the scoring system in Mushi Futari's Original and Ultra modes.

I disagree. I can't 1CC either mode, but Arrange is the easiest. I get at least a stage farther in it than in Original.TWE wrote:

The fact of having effectively 9 lives because of auto-bomb, plus all the extra guns, plus being able to concentrate more on dodging instead of worrying about losing any bombs from dying all make it easier.
I play it when I want to see lots of flashy graphics and don't want to be stressed out too much.

I'm currently trying to 1CC maniac and I must admit that I occasionally play arrange mode just to relax a little and for the fun of it.
Regarding the bullet patterns: they're indeed the same as or even more difficult patterns than in maniac mode, *but*: there's more (artificial) slowdown than in maniac mode. It's very noticeable in stage 1 especially during the boss battle. The final bullet pattern before you destroy the boss is, as far as I can tell, exactly the same as in maniac mode but it slows down considerably. Anyhow, it's fun to play occasionally even if you prefer maniac mode.

I sometimes had the impression that in similar "bullet load" situations in non-arrange modes there wasn't that much slow down. But you might be right that the additional two options make a difference. I wonder whether or not the slowdown in maniac mode exists in the PCB version as well, I'll have a look at other mushi threads about this.TWE wrote:The slowdown in Arrange is due to you having 6 options from the get-go and massive firepower. This slows down the action on screen due to the PS2's inability to process it fast enough. Makes the game play a bit clunky in many parts.

I sort of understand what he means by "smooth slowdown". The choppy slowdown on PS2 sucks because at some point or another the PS2 descides to suddenly speed up while you're dodging which is massively annoying because your brain has to re-sync with the frame rate. At least my 30+ brain thinks this stinks.

Having played arrange mode almost exclusively for a couple of weeks I switched to Original/Maniac modes the last few days. Due to being used to the heavier Maniac-esque patterns in arrange, I can actually progess a stage or more further in maniac than original. Original seems too 'bare' compared to what I was used to, and I keep wandering into stray bullets.
Apart from the auto-bomb, I have noticed there is considerably more slowdown in Arrange than Maniac, and due to having more firepower, it is easier to survive boss patterns as they obviously don't last as long. I still prefer arrange, even if it is the 'girl's mode'. Funny, I don't remember anyone ever referring to Espgaluda arrange as such.

That'd probably be because Galuda's Arrange mode is actually harder, as opposed to easier, than the "regular" game. Though I personally don't like the "girly mode" label either, it's just sort of stupid.g19 wrote:I still prefer arrange, even if it is the 'girl's mode'.
