The VLC media player played it (and besides that it´s free open source software, it also has very handy options like video rotation - good for tate shmup replays):

I installed it after reinstalling XP on my system, so it has everything you need.

I couldn't get it to work as well, I know nothing about codecs.

Converted to avi and uploaded here:

I still don't care for the promo art but the game itself looks like great fun so far. Nice combo of pastel comical visuals with typical Cave machinery to blow up. Aside from the slowdown, Kaneda's impressions are promising. The 'lil piggie medal/bomb system is nicely Raizing'esque of course.

Anyways, after hearing the Muchi Muchi promo song I feel like singing a variation of the MST3K Gamera song:

Little Muchi piggy fleet
They are made of bacon meat
Hoo-ray for Ya-ga-wa!
(and repeat until aneurism)

:P

I'm excited about this game. Too bad there probably won't be any ports of it.

There's a vid up here:

http://b-board.rdy.jp/torrent/index.php

(top vid) that shows up to the 2nd boss. Might be a direct vid feed (which would be great to see). It's a 500MB file and I downloaded it but when I tried to play it the file was "corrupt". I'm trying one more time to see if I just got a bad download.

Did anyone get the file to play?

Not working for me. Says syntax isn't correct or something like that.

Oh well.

I assume a bittorrent client is necessary to download the file.

Yeah, I tried again, it's just a corrupt file. They'll probably upload a fixed version in a day or two, so I'll try again later.

Is it a direct video feed, or just another camcorder recording?

And yeah, please transcode for us who don't know how the heck to get this thing to play. :)

I pulled it down earlier. It's just another camcorder grab. The guy playing hardly uses the Lard Attack. It's not really worth D/Ling.

Out of all the plays to film, it's a shame they chose to capture that guy's run. However, it does show you how wimpy the game can be if you avoid getting medals and using the (criminally misnamed) lard attack.

People actually playing the game like it should be were getting over 15 million (on my second run I ended with 10m). I think we can expect big points out of this one (which is why they likely dropped the alphabetizing of the 8th digit like in PS, Ibara and certain Raizing games).

Actually, if you just drag the zip file out of the folder and put it on your desktop, winrar will open it for you. At least that's how it worked for me.

i agree on this one, the video shows nice detail but nothing great from the player at all.

i've got this transcoded in high quality divx, its like 185megs so i can't use yousendit or something convienient. im going to upload to my server but it'll take awhile. if anyone has a suggestion for an upload service, tell me.

i've uploaded a transcoded version of the torrent TWE pointed at, i've put it:

-- *poof* --

i won't leave it here long, maybe a couple days.

it's a divx avi, full bitrate option.

if you have a tracker you want me to torrent to, please pm me the location.

Thanks for the transcode, bay. :) Hmm, the whole "ride on a bicycle" thing reminds me more of the old "Bokan" games than anything else...come to think of it, those games (and the anime, I'd assume) featured a lot of goofy-looking pigs (albeit mechanical ones). Though they're more likely a Batsugun reference...or just there because Cave's bonkers, heh heh.

Has anyone tried translating the plot of this thing yet? All indications are that it's beyond Pulitzer-worthy.

FUN FACT: the booth babe in the pink outfit at AOU 2007 is a gravure idol by the name of Saori Yamamoto! (compare the mole on her left breast)

I'm not sure why I feel the need to mention this, but I guess it's cool that Cave got her? Yeah.

So uhhh, getting back to the game itself... am I the only one that was amused by the "HIGH-COW" at the top of the screen?

Looks like High-Cav to me, and the cav will obviously be replaced with the initials of the score leader.
