Speaking of which, are there any differences between the PC version and PS2 version of Raiden III, be it graphically, musically, gameplay, options, etc.?

PC Raiden III has a graphic advantage over PS2. The graphics have a crisper look with cleaner textures and reduced aliasing. Lighting effects and IIRC the polygon count are better as well on PC.The Coop wrote: Speaking of which, are there any differences between the PC version and PS2 version of Raiden III, be it graphically, musically, gameplay, options, etc.?
All the PS2 options are brought over to the PC version. Both versions use the same soundtrack- no arranged ST in either version.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Well, Raiden 3 in the arcade runs on Type X hardware, which is PC-based. I suspect the PC version is more arcade accurate. The Coop wrote:I paid $11.99 for the PC version, new.Monk 0 Nuggets wrote:eh, its better than $70 for an importThe Coop wrote:http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=281692

It went up a dollar a couple months after it came out.

I just heard the PS2 port has been pushed back until something in April. Can someone confirm this?
I preordered my copy over at GameCrazy a few days ago. And according to their new-release sheet, it's set to be released on St. Patrick's Day (3/17). But of course, they won't know anything until that day comes. So, yeah.

Working Designs' repeated delays of Thunder Force V story...
I remember when the PSX USA version of Thunder Force V was slated to come out in 1998 but Working Designs kept on delaying it -- when it finally was released, my local Funcoland only got a measly five copies of which one was reserved under my name, of course. ^_~
Working Designs was fucking infamous for delaying their PSX & PS2 software titles time & time again... ^_~
And was it worth paying the $39.99 USD for it at the time? Whaddya think?..... ^_~

Re: Working Designs' repeated delays of Thunder Force V stor
That reminds me. When I preordered Raiden III, the guy who helped me said that they weren't going to get any copies for the store. In other words, it's a preorder-only release. As a matter of fact, Iam the only one who's even asked about it in my area. And as far as I know, I'll be the only one getting a copy. But I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some on eBay. But not too many.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:I remember when the PSX USA version of Thunder Force V was slated to come out in 1998 but Working Designs kept on delaying it -- when it finally was released, my local Funcoland only got a measly five copies of which one was reserved under my name, of course. ^_~

That already happened... XS isn't publishing the game anymore, UFO Interactive is. Just go to their website and see for yourself. They've been the official U.S. publisher for a few months now.Carmen wrote:"And the inevitable...

Probably! As great as it is to see Raiden III here, please, somebody, ANYbody else then XS Games pick it up! Please?[/u]
