I say everyone who can't get it otherwise should just bite the bullet and torrent. Buy the game if it gets a local release later just to be a good sport and complete your collection if you enjoy it. Sry, but the wait for this has gone on way too long :?

UFO Interactive. Never heard of that company before. Lets hope they do a better localization than XS games has been known for.

Barring any disasters March looks to be a very good month with Raiden 3 and perhaps (stress perhaps) Taito Legends 2 on their way to US PS 2's.

While we're getting hopeful... Metal Slug Anthology is due as well in March....................

I'm going to die soon if someone doesnt get off their duff and bring TL2 to North America, but if all these games come out at the same time I may have some difficult choices to make.

If this comes out in March I'll be ecstatic. My wife can put this down as my #1 choice for birthday present in April!!!

Dang, no Taito Legends 2 for the XBOX. Too bad it took so stinkin' long, otherwise XBOX owners probably would've gotten it.

Um, that isn't a "budget title" price.

I paid $11.99 for the PC version, new.

Speaking of which, are there any differences between the PC version and PS2 version of Raiden III, be it graphically, musically, gameplay, options, etc.?

PC Raiden III has a graphic advantage over PS2. The graphics have a crisper look with cleaner textures and reduced aliasing. Lighting effects and IIRC the polygon count are better as well on PC.

All the PS2 options are brought over to the PC version. Both versions use the same soundtrack- no arranged ST in either version.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Well, Raiden 3 in the arcade runs on Type X hardware, which is PC-based. I suspect the PC version is more arcade accurate.

And where the hell did you find it for $12?!

BTW I know Radio is gonna be $20, is Raiden really gonna be $30?

I just heard the PS2 port has been pushed back until something in April. Can someone confirm this?

I preordered my copy over at GameCrazy a few days ago. And according to their new-release sheet, it's set to be released on St. Patrick's Day (3/17). But of course, they won't know anything until that day comes. So, yeah.

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.

Working Designs' repeated delays of Thunder Force V story...

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

I remember when the PSX USA version of Thunder Force V was slated to come out in 1998 but Working Designs kept on delaying it -- when it finally was released, my local Funcoland only got a measly five copies of which one was reserved under my name, of course. ^_~

Working Designs was fucking infamous for delaying their PSX & PS2 software titles time & time again... ^_~

And was it worth paying the $39.99 USD for it at the time? Whaddya think?..... ^_~

Yes, but WD actually put time and effort into making sure the entire game, packaging, and translation were top notch and beyond compare. Somehow, I don't think XS games is capable of the same!

That reminds me. When I preordered Raiden III, the guy who helped me said that they weren't going to get any copies for the store. In other words, it's a preorder-only release. As a matter of fact, Iam the only one who's even asked about it in my area. And as far as I know, I'll be the only one getting a copy. But I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some on eBay. But not too many.

Don't sleep on it!

That already happened... XS isn't publishing the game anymore, UFO Interactive is. Just go to their website and see for yourself. They've been the official U.S. publisher for a few months now.

Ahh, my bad. The concept cover looks decent (well, its the Japanese cover minus the ship) so lets see what they do with it!
