I don't know that info. I heard something like 13,000 for each, but I have no idea of that's accurate or not. Here's the Arika page:

http://www.arika.co.jp/shop/shop.html

They basically state a lot of people contacted them saying they wanted to buy DDPDOJ or Espgaluda but they couldn't find them in the shops anymore. So now Arika is making them available for sale again.

The mushioujou guy uploaded another japan-region-only download that I've uploaded here.

Stage four run in Original with Normal Palm. His score is really good and he breaks 50k on the counter, but a death at the very end knocks that down.

I wish some people would release some decent maniac vids. I'm getting schooled on the stage 2 boss when I try to score. Pissing me off. Wasted like 1000 yen yesterday fucking around and never got past stage 3.

I now have Maniac mode vids of the Stage 2 boss with Normal Reco, and complete Maniac mode stages 4 and 5 with Normal Reco. All are quite good (one death in the stage 4 vid, no deaths in the Stage 5 vid up until the last form of the end boss). I'll try and put them on megaupload or something.

Fujita has Ver 1.5 kits for 130,000 yen now. A nice 40,000 yen price drop from last month. This is about $1072 at today's exchange rates. Great price for a wonderful game. :D

So, Mushihimesama II is being developed by Cave, that's so cool!
I loved the 1st game, I wonder if this will be released for the PS2?

http://www.cave.co.jp/gameonline/mushihime2/index.html

The Video looks good with some huge Bosses (The fire breathing dragon especially, chasing princess Reco)
http://www.cave.co.jp/gameonline/mushih ... index.html

However, I'm disapointed to see that the concept / flyer art is made by a different artist. Compared to the 1st game, they try to show princess Reco sexier, obviously to attract more croud, but she doesn't look too good, almost ridiculous

Not sure what "damn skippy" means, but I've tried putting it up one megaupload twice today, it keeps freezing halfway through the upload (the file is 219MB). Any suggestions?

EDIT: Found out what 'damn skippy' means:

haha, you got me there.

btw I downloaded that horrid megaupload toolbar thing and it's allowing me to upload the file faster, and if the connection freezes I can resume it. So it should be done in about an hour.

Okay, finally finished uploading this bastard:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8RHZ8WRG

Maniac Mode Normal Reco Stages 4 & 5 (complete). Not really a 'superplay', but rather a 'very good play'.

My monitor rotates, so I don't have to. Otherwise, slap the video into something like Virtual Dub which has a rotate option.

While he had some excellent dodging skills (aside from blowing it at the end there....) the scoring was pretty poor. The guys I was watching yesterday at the arcade had around 250 million by the end of the second level. It seemed to me that they got such high scores by simply waiting to activate the multiplier until they were at x9999. Rarely did the highest scorers use it below 7000, although their risky tactics meant a lot of lost lives; some who got 600 million+ didn't even clear the game.

I have another vid with Normal Reco in Maniac mode where the guy has 410 mil at the start of the Stage 3 boss. He finishes the stage 3 boss with 427mil. High score on his board is 735mil.

I can upload that stage 3 boss vid sometime later tonight.

I finally figured some stuff out by just asking one of the aces at the local 50 yen arcade in Shibuya. I've seen there many times before.

I didn't know the laser gave way more gems when the guage is in the red. I just thought your chances of destroying whatever is greater w/ the laser b/c it's stronger. It wasn't a coincidence afterall.

This guy was really good. He died twice on the 2nd stage, and still almost cleared the game (Maniac). I'm sure he has before. I was able to do a bit of milking on level 2 boss, but the third wave of those rings fucks me everytime. Gotta practice more.

I talk about this in page 21 of this thread in a lengthy post.

In other news, a guy on 2ch posted his current optimal scoring for each stage in Maniac mode (these are the scores he aims to get at the end of each stage or boss fight):

Stage 1 : 55mil
Stage 2: 180mil
Stage 2 (boss) :320mil
Stage 3 :430mil
Stage 3 (boss) :470mil
Stage 4: 580mil
Stage 4 (boss) : 650mil
Stage 5: 830mil
Stage 5 (boss): 940mil

A billion is probably possible, as the guy thinks he can squeeze some more points out of Stage 5 and some other bits in the game.

Doesn't look like there's a TLB. Still just hearsay, but I've read some Japanese have 1CC'd Ultra, and there's nothing after the normal last boss. Not surprising really, I doubt they would put in anything crazier than the regular Ultra last boss.

Is that TLB info confirmed? From watching the replays, the way the fat lady hangs about for a bit when you take out the last boss, it's just begging for TLB treatment!
