Got to the second boss with two lifes and all bombs left, then forgot to bomb iin time and lost my second ship due to a silly "I know I can squeeze through tthat, just not now" move.
I should manage to do better, stay tuned.

I was really bumbed to find out that there was no extra bonus. How could they over look this, it is not too easy to do, and damned near impossible outside of level 1. I think my best so far is either 403k or 408k.Icarus wrote: And yeah, I agree that there should have been a 100% Gold Bonus as an extra incentive.
Possibly, but I can't imagine the score increase is going to be very significant. But I guess if you can 1LC the game, those few points matter.I've been playing this with the different weapons, usually after I make early mistakes, and I'm thinking that the top-end scores are made with use of the Hunter weapon from the start of the game to the end. Mainly because its so weak that you get a lot of extra points for damaging enemies and bosses with it.
hunter weapon doesn't score many hits at all, which is why it's so weakIcarus wrote:I've been playing this with the different weapons, usually after I make early mistakes, and I'm thinking that the top-end scores are made with use of the Hunter weapon from the start of the game to the end. A 1LC will give you a massive boost to your score, definitely. I'm more curious in this with regards to point-squeezing, although I'm not likely to try for it myself as Air Gallet isn't a game I'll keep playing after this playing week.landshark wrote:Possibly, but I can't imagine the score increase is going to be very significant. I dunno, the Laser is too powerful to take advantage of the low-strength-to-points thing. Vulcan maybe at long-distance. I think Hunter is the weapon for serious point-milking off bosses and stuff, but I'll have to do an experiment to see if that's the case.Twiddle wrote:hunter weapon doesn't score many hits at all, which is why it's so weak
winner of hits->points damage is the laser
not vulcan actually lol
its only milking utility is in stage 2, where the side drones are worth 2k a popIcarus wrote:I dunno, the Laser is too powerful to take advantage of the low-strength-to-points thing. I believe you oxtsu!oxtsu wrote:I'm sorry I wasted my time with that last post. If you guys were mistaken about the perfect bonus, please tell it now to avoid confusion.

I don't want to sound too smartass, but could you please post your future scores also in the correct format instead of only linking snapshots. This would safe me some work. Thanks and nice score so far.

I did the 4th boss today at full rank with no bombs. It's just tap tap tap tap as he fires. The hard part is finding the right time to reverse direction and tap back. Somtimes you have to tap up too.The Coop wrote:Mission 5 was easy, but I didn't expect the fifth boss to open its arms and fire like it did. I lucked out on the fourth boss, as I had three bombs to use plus a guys still in reserve. Took every bomb I had to get through him. Not sure how I'm gonna find a pattern through all the fast blue and red orbs it fires...
Sounds identical to the spread used by the Final Boss 2nd form.landshark wrote:I did the 4th boss today at full rank with no bombs. It's just tap tap tap tap as he fires. The hard part is finding the right time to reverse direction and tap back. Somtimes you have to tap up too.
That 1st form is horrible, the 1st/5th/9th/etc attack. It's just mean, dodging it is crazy hard.Limbrooke wrote:Sounds identical to the spread used by the Final Boss 2nd form.landshark wrote:I did the 4th boss today at full rank with no bombs. 3rd Form however is complete BS.
