When non-English-speaking people post in English, they at least make an effort to be understandable enough.

This is something you'd find in GameFAQs, most often by American posters.

I don't see why everyone is posting so negatively.
Mr. Show isn't negative.

Maybe you should stop generalizing.

Or do all Asians look the same, too? I bet they do to you, racist.

You have done one thing for these people however. You have created 'The Port Ever!
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Perhaps Darius11 didn't realize that the Shmups forum was out there.
You might want to check your facts there.

If I had to pick a game to call the port ever it'd have to be Blazing Star, I could see the commercial now...."New Blazing Star for the Neo Geo AES, the port ever!!! Get it more!!!"

Don't worry man, they're all a-holes. I realize you waited years to post this and just got excited, who cares if you misspelled a word or forgot a word, this is a shooter forum, not an English Professors' forum. Low self-esteem = making fun of other people any chance you get.

Back to the original topic:

Ahhhh 1991, what a year. What. a. year. Paula Abdul was Straight Up rocking the radio with an exciting Rush Rush of music while Paula Abghoul was captivating me in Super Castlevania IV. From Double Dare to Double Dutch, all my mates around the school yard were a buzz with the careless joys of childhood ambivalence. On the tele, Christine Lakin was stealing my heart Step by Step and thus my first crush was formed. To the disdain of man's best friend everywhere Cats exploded onto Broadway leaving us no choice but to get in touch with our inner-felinity while Ahnold was Terminating our wallets at the box office once again. It was scary and exciting trying to sort my way through those Wonder Years, even found myself amidst my first mullet, but no matter what I knew Fred Savage always had my back. He even taught me it's cool to be a video game Wizard, just as long as you're playing with power, Power Glove style! Of course everything wasn't always so carefree, outside in the Streets of Rage I learned justice feels like a Bare Knuckle to your jaw and Winners Don't Use Drugs.

The memories.

I've heard of Trial by Fire, but this is more like Trial by Napalm Airstrike. Don't worry, Darius11; if you weather this storm, you will no longer be vulnerable to conventional weapons.

No, the first cracked version of this game that showed up here in Brazil had invencibility... trouble is that it was ALWAYS ON and there was NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF....

I remember I got this game with a lot of other MSX friends I had back at the time, and people were complaining about the game being too easy... some people thought that the "Power bar" that shows your weapon strenght was actually the hits your ship could stand, until I noticed the game actually had invencibility. I must admit I also didn't notice at first, and me too thought the game was too damn easy when I finished it at my first go :)

Later we got a proper version of the game :)

@ Nemo: I do consider myself an asshole. Nice to know I'm not the only one.

@ Darius11: If english isn't your first language, what is? If it is then you need to try harder. If it's something like japanese then wouldn't you have a much more thriving online community to express your 'soul filled' memories? If not then just don't let us get to you. We are mocking the delivery, not the message. Well...I am also mocking the soul part because I think I lack one. Also, due to a of a lack of religion I tend to pass such things off as superstition.

Fun Fact: I have failed a DNA test. I showed up negative for DNA. Maybe I am composed entirely of bitter hatred and cynisism. :D

ROFL! That sure seems to be the best "port" ever to me!

Though are you sure it was no pirate version? I am wondering why the hell a developer should release a game with the most stupid and demotivating feature I can think off. Esspecially since it can't be turned off.

And welcome to the forums Darius11.
Well if you acually mind posting and reading here after people where making fun of your topic. And if you are no joke account like someone pointed out... ?

@Darius11:
Don't mind us, we're a bunch of bitter old cranks. We don't get out much, and like arguing. A bit of comedy is always welcome here. And besides, your comment which is being used at the moment is bordering on legendary status. ^_-

I think it's interesting that a lot of shmup players bow down to Japanese gamers and mention things like "innate skill." Yet if a Japanese gamer were to come to these forums and they didn't know English well they'd get ridiculed.
