aww does that mean you can't play raiden fighters with usRob wrote:Any shooter with really fast bullets is (apparently) too intense for me, which = overdriven stomach acid. A year and a half of that did its damage.

hell, I was just happy to finally see a character with my real name in a video game. I'm probably more excited about it than I should be...

[strike]Why the hell is this harder than S1999? This game actually lets you memorize things, and the dragon attack wastes big stuff before they fire.[/strike]
edit: oops i got to 1-5 and it looks like psikyo and cave had a baby

Agreed. The amount of bullets in 1-6 is astounding - especially for a first loop. And the bum-rush they give you right before the boss is insane.Rob wrote:6 is the hardest stage, but at least the final boss is the hardest boss this time.
I get really pissed off at the Cave element, the little drifting bullets that I tend to overlook.
Very cool level though.
Ok - time to go destroy my hand.

SiKrAiKeN: While I don't think everyone here -is- a Ninja Turtle, I DO believe everyone here has the potential to be a Ninja Turtle. No doubt.

I still prefer those to the "Hello, you're dead if you haven't memorized the safe spot for this pattern!" bullets that are Psikyo's trademark. A few here or there I can deal with, but a game full of them...Rob wrote:I get really pissed off at the Cave element, the little drifting bullets that I tend to overlook.

A game full of them? Come on now. And I'm not sure about "safe spots." I think that implies sitting still and watching a pattern fly by. Even the most memorization heavy patterns (like the bee? on 7's second attack) require small, but unfaltering movement.BulletMagnet wrote:I still prefer those to the "Hello, you're dead if you haven't memorized the safe spot for this pattern!" bullets that are Psikyo's trademark. A lot of patterns do require prior knowledge and a ton of trial and error before the correct solution is found. Stage 5 boss, second form, first pattern, Stage 6 boss, first form, fast aimed sweep. Stage 6 boss, second form, instant hit laser patterns (God I hate instant hit attacks). Hornet midboss on stage7, second pattern. Most of the stage7 boss's patterns.Rob wrote:A game full of them? This isn't the slow-ass bullet patterns that Cave and Raizing are known for; these are fast, deadly, often over-precise patterns that newcomers to those patterns will be obliterated by.
The stage6 boss reminds me of a mix of Envy and Discharge, in a way.

I think that would be the order I would go in...if I could get that far.Rob wrote:There's no editing. But wouldn't that be nice? I think I'd go with desert, sea, forest, sky.BulletMagnet wrote:On a more serious note, a question: for the competition, will people who own the PS2 version be required to leave the stages random, or is stage editing allowed?
