I've only seen two or three of those, and most were long enough ago that I can't remember much at all about them.

However, I will say, I must be the only person on Earth who doesn't hate Street Fighter The Movie. I have fond memories of that from when I was a kid. I'm sure if I saw it now, I'd think it was crap. But when I was 8 it was pretty fucking cool.

Where the hell are the Mortal Kombat movies?

I think the Street Fighter movie should have been a musical!!!

How was MK the worst movie by any means? MKA maybe...

Anyway, I haven't seen AITD and HOTD but I remember I was utterly bored and offended by the Mario movie. At least Double Dragon, almost equally lame, had a hot chick with a whip. The Mario movie had nothing.

That's an incomplete list of game movies. If we're going to have any poll on video game movies, then every video game movie should be included in the list. WHY, for example, was Mortal Kombat excluded?? :? That would've been my pick for sure.

Bad Dave! Bad bad Dave!!

MK1 was excellent.

The sequel on the other hand was one of the worst pieces of filth ever put to film.

I've watched

Super Mario Bros
DOuble Dragon
Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider 2
Resident Evil
Street FIghter
Mortal Kombat
Pokemon: The Movie.

From the back of my mind.. those are the only ones I remember.

Oh.. Pokemon counts, doesn't? I mean, the game came before than the animated series or the movie.

If I had to choose one from this list, I'd choose Pokemon. I have nothing against animated movies ( I love Toy Story, or The Iron Giant), neither I have something against Pokemon itself (The original game isn't half bad). But the movie is devoid of any qualities, it was clearly a way to make more profit from the Pokemon name.

Tomb Raider 2 was also incredibly, incredinly bad.

I never felt Super Mario Bros or Double Dragon were as bad as people point out. I mean., they are CHEESY as hell, but I found both movies to be midly entertaining, from what they offer. Well, they are crap, and that's why they are fun.

I LOVED Street Fighter the movie back when I was a kid... everytime I watch it on TV, I find myself guilty because of that :) . The movie indeed sucks. But not as bad as Tomb Raider 2.

Resident Evil wasn't bad. It was nearly good actually. Paul W.S. Anderson is somewhat an interesting director/writer. He always seems like it's going to completely destroy something (Alien vs Predator anyone?), and in the end he comes with something that doesn't completely sux, and usually you get satisfied of what he did.

(When I read all the pre-production stuff from AvP , it was CLEAR that it was going to suck bad... and when it came out, it was actually mildly enjoyable)

In the case of Resident Evil... well, it was pretty stupid the way Milla Jojovich was punching and kicking the zombies. WHY THE HELL can't I do that in the game??? (It would make it a lot more enjoyable :D). I personally hate all the RE games, but I think the movie had a good tie-in with the game plot, and as a MOVIE, it was enjoyable enough.

He also directed Mortal Kombat... which is again not bad... not exactly great either.

So, the 2 "best" movie based on video-games were made by the same director.... :)

HOW DARE THEE VOTE FOR SUPER MARIO BROS!!

DENNIS HOPPER WAS KING FUCKIN' KOOPA.

HotD is MUCH, MUCH...zOMFG worse. I think I've blocked most of its terribleness from my mind though, but I remember...I remember them splicing footage of the game into the movie. Honestly. How much time did the director spend on his knees in Hollywood? Is that all it takes these days to get cash to make a movie?

And Resident Evil, although craptacular...had Milla Jovovovovovich or however you spell it. Think of them as the unofficial sequels to the scenes in the 5th Element where she isn't wearing very much. With zombies. And "eeeeviiiiiillll"

EDIT: And Space Harrier, EVERYONE knows that "ever" is spelled "EVAR" on the internet. In all caps. Always.
The white clouds floating on the great blue sky
And the boiling red blood shed in fierce gaming
Those who give up halfway through
Their battered bodies will never forget!

Haha, I love the part in SF: The Movie where Zangief sees that truck bomb coming at them on the CCTV and says "Quick! Change the channel!"

For that, I could never vote it as worst movie.

Also, the crazy SMB movie was too interesting to be worst movie!

Super Mario Bros the movie scared me as a kid, I thought that inthe future that all the entire human race was going to be turned into reptiles, with that machine.

"No my brain Is shriking"

The worst would have to go to Tomb Raider

Mortal Kombat was alright considering the source material (I HATE Mortal Kombat).

My vote goes to The Wizard, by the way.
I have no sig whatsoever.

I voted for AitD... My goodness the movie just blew so hard! Filled with long pointless scenes that are supposed to build tension and instead build boredom. >_<

I would actually watch HotD again before watching that stinking pile again. Double Dragon was a hilarious movie imo, wasn't Alyssa Milano in it too?

Street Fighter the Movie... favorite quote (forgive me if I butcher the line been so long...): Guile: "I'm gonna get on my boat, and I'm going up-river, and I'm going to kick that son-of-a-bitch Bison's ass so HARD... that the next Bison wanna-be is gonna feel it. Now who wants to go home... and who wants to go with ME!"

WTF!! XD

I'm guessing it must be a bit more faithful to the source material. :P

While the Super Mario Bros was bad, my vote goes to Wing Commander, since that movie almost put me to sleep. Super Mario Bros was so bad that it was kind of entertaining.

Back when I was on my last contract at Microsoft, on one of the internal discussion forums there was some talk of this subject, and somehow it came out that one person on the forum is part of the investment group that funds Uwe Boll's productions, That person just about got run out on a rail for crimes against humantiy.
