My reign of terror comes crashing down at last. :(

I'm gonna get you bastards.

(I'm also not watching your video Icarus until I do it)

Come and get me Cigs! ^_^
If you can ALL Ibara, then you will have no problem with Batrider.

As for me, I can most definitely hit a C score with perfect play, but for that I need to take on Envy as well, which is causing problems at the moment. I can pass Envy and end the stage with over 6mil, but it screws up my strategies as Extends come a lot earlier than I am used to. -_-;;

Depends if you destroy the fast lasers. If you do, the ultimate in comedy ensues.

I have at least three of his patterns sorted. The two most annoying patterns are the spiraling lasers from its hands, and the lasers that constantly shift direction. I normally use at least one bomb to get past, although I'd prefer to not use one at all as they're needed in stage6. ^_^;;

I might try and skip Envy for the time being and see if I can make up the missing points somewhere else.

So do the shot and option specials activate the same boss every time (for a certain stage order?). I haven't checked to see yet.

If you get either Shot or Option Special (but not both), the stage 3 or 4 (respectively) influenced Highway boss will pop. (thx ic)

If you get both, both stage 3 and 4 highway bosses will pop.

You can avoid this by using a Garegga or Mahou ship, but you'll have to deal with a) shitty ship or b) fuckbucket, respectively.

Yup, those ones. I cannot judge the direction they move in until its too late, and the gap to get through is remarkably small. There's probably some easy way of getting past without bombing, but I haven't worked it out yet.

Yup. The Rivals are tied to stages:

Envy = Airport
Blunt = Sky High
Sobut = Sewer

You normally get the Rival for the stage you've picked as your second at the end of the Highway - if you picked Sky High as your second stage, you always get Blunt and so on. Special Powerups give you extra Rivals, but only if you have a Batrider member still available in your team:

Special Shot - stages 2 and 3
Special Option - stages 2 and 4
Both Specials - all three Rivals.

Bashi2 still takes at least one bomb to remove the more dangerous appendages.

Hiding in the corner worked for me.

Thanks for the info. Sobut is a must, easy points.

Its good to see Batrider getting lots of attention again due to the tournament, I really need to stop playing Hotdog Storm so I can get back into Batrider.

Why on earth are you playing that? ^_-

The airmines? Their bullets can be destroyed, there are huge gaps in-between their firing patterns, and the only attack you need to worry about is the spread that Bashi fires, which is easy to dodge. If you can anticipate the attack - you'll see the hatch under the main body of Bashi open up - you can drop a charge right in front of Bashi and do lots of damage while avoiding/destroying the airmines. Usually Bashi will shift attack patterns after four sets of large missiles.

For your interest, a video clip of a fight against Bashi, using Bornnam (ST). It doesn't have the airmines attack but it does give you a good idea of how to approach the battle.

I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for the tip. ^_-

One thing I noticed is that fuckbucket likes popping the airmines and the GREEN TRAILING BALLS OF SHIT if I have any bombs in stock and he kind of stops doing those if I don't have any.

Ive never seen any extra attacks with the airmines before. In fact, I've never seen the green fireballs you've mentioned before. Are they not rank dependent?

Oh, there's nothing but the airmines in mk1 (and they only pop if I have bombs), but the GREEN TRAILING BALLS OF SHIT in mk2 only pop up if I have any bombs in stock, but when I don't he just throws the lame trailing mines at me.

I'm convinced that fuckbucket has some bomb-stealing purpose.

Good score Zakk. I think 6mil tops is the best for Strawman only players from Normal Course, but for that, you need to fight all three Rivals. ^_^

Ok, i've shaken off Hotdog Storm and now i'm back in action.

8,494,150 - Macaw - 6 - Strawman(A) - Advanced course

I died on Grubby again. If only I made it to stage 7 I would be able to add 3mill+ to my score (as long as I dont stuff up of course, although I dont find stage 7 particularly hard and in most of my practice attempts I have gotten through stage 7 unscathed whilst keeping my medal chain)

How

@Macaw -> 8,494,150 - Macaw - 6 - Strawman(A) - Advanced course .......How :?:
8.49mil by the end of Stage 6 with Strawman (A).....How?

Strawman on his own cannot unlock extra bosses.

Wait a minute....I suppose you're right-> 5.5mil to ST6 start then a full 3mil from ST6.

Indeed, stage 6 is a goldmine if you keep your medal chain all the way through. I also fought all 3 rivals (normally I only get blunt and sobut but I accidentally got both special power ups)

For some reason I cant just never defeat grubby...

@DEL:
On my B score credit, I ended stage6 with 9.1mil. That was with all three Rivals and perfect medalling. I think up to 10mil can be gained on the strategies I use, but it needs serious refinement.

@Kaiser:
Bashinet2 counts as an extra stage.

Yes indeed. That boss is still a bit tricky for me, but not too bad. Discharge = a bad dude.
