FINALLY! Took me 2 years but I finally made it to 2-3. 1 lifed the first lloop. Died once in 2-1. Died twice in 2-2 (odd because it was the water level, easiest of the 2nd loop levels). And made it through the water boss with no bombs. Broke 1.4 million too.

Decided to try and submit a score to Marp and I did the best I've ever done.

1 lifed to the 2-2 boss and died a stupid death. Then right at the beginning of 2-3 my hard drive starts going for no apparent reason and the game gets unplayably choppy and I lose every extra guy within 30 seconds.

Pissed me off. I was hoping to make it to 2-4. Did have several long medal chains going too.

I am really horrid at this game (and all Psyiko games in general) but what the hell, decided to give the F-117 some love since nobody else is. :D

Shalashaska - 252,300 - 1-3 - F-117

Impressive run Landshark, hopefully next time your hd wont go on the fritz so we can see what you're truly capable of.

Thanks and welcome to the board.

I think the old board may have had an F-117 score, I'm not sure. I have one laying around somewhere; just haven't posted it.

Keep posting!

Cool. Grabbing it now. Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: I don't understand how that works on the level 1-5 boss.

And he takes on Geobite too... yuck.

IlMrm - 995,300 - 1-8 - X-36 - Arcade

Extend at 800,000. Bit it at Chaos Queen's second form.

On another run got a chain of 50. This game seems to be pretty generous on the medal's flash part compared to the other Strikers and Gunbird 2. Several times I could've swore I missed it but the game gave it to me.

I have the opposite problem. There are many times that I've sworn I've gotten the medal but it says no. I'd love to be able to pull off a 100+ medal run, it just never seems to happen and I screw up my chain somewhere.

I hit 78 last night, a death broke the chain. And then I quit :)

Actually had a spare life left after the round, and bit it at 2-1 Groundskater with a bomb left.

Nice job on the 1st round. Doesn't it just bite ya to die with a bomb?

Bumping this from the depths of page 4!

I was so close to 2-2, but it was not to be. That second loop is insanity!

Landshark - 1,550,000 - 2-4 - X-36

3 goals in 1 game. And as usual, it's a game played at 1am.

- got to 2-4
- broke 1,500,000
- beat the mother fucking tank

I fucking hate that tank.

Sorry, feel free to ignore this one. I'm not sure what's so great about the X-36. Is this just the ship you guys use most, or is it really that good?

The last few stages are really short, even for Psikyo.

The homing lasers and strong sub-weapon of the X-36 make it an easy learning ship.

Stages 7 & 8 are very short. Stage 7 varies in difficulty by the ship chosen, stage 8 not so much.
