Strikers 1945 III (Strikers 1999)

Post by landshark »

Maybe one day this game will get a console release.

Either Mame or PCB, full defaults (600k extend). There is an overall scoreboard as well as a per-plane scoreboard since some planes are significantly easier to play and score well with than others.

Here's a site with some videos of 1st loop boss strategies: http://www.rf-emporium.net/s1999/stage1.htm

To select the X-36, you've got to go into the DIP settings and input "1999" into the little code doodad, I believe, then tap "up" on the "?" at Fighter Select.

As for me, I guess I'll throw my hat in with an F-4:

Super Noodle, F-4 Phantom, 816,200; Stage 1-8

I saw an arcade machine of this the other day with the difficult set UP (yeah, like this game needs it ) and someone had actually managed to pull an all clear on it. I got the second place score on the machine with 400,000 some points... nothing too great.

Ok, that score is friggin incredible.

But I do have a question. How do you get an "All Time" high score without it showing up as #1?

The newer Psikyo games only save the best score. Once you turn it off, the scores reset except the one on the top. He got the high score then they turned the game off then back on.
