Sorry for late reply, I've been in Belgium this weekend.

Ok, like Plasmo and Rastan 78 I don't have MAME. So if you wish to count me out that's fine.
Unless you can accept photos from me? - In which case, I would accept.

Don't worry if you have to count me out, I will happily move aside for an up-and-coming player.

If this is wolfMAME-only count me out too. I don't like playing shmups on my laptop.

Hopefully, we'll be able to use ports. Or I could play with MAME on my xbox (which would let me use a real controller on a tated TV).

I'm going to have to decline for now- I don't know how much time I could put into this right now. My MAME setup has input lag anyway.

If we end up short players and I am needed maybe I can do it.

Well, the Mame input file rule could probably still be discussed with the team Italy. But one important question is, if you can't or don't want to use Mame. How are you going to join a game that you don't own?

Since all the games we play will be revealed AFTER the competition started...

We might argue if they should accept photos as proof too. Since this competition is only for fun and not about big prizes.

Edge - I forgot to mention, like twe I have Xbox MAME. Although I've currently lost the ability to call up the dips (defaults are mostly set anyway - so that's ok), plus of course photos are pretty much all I will be able to submit.

Thanks for the nomination edge. I don't know much about the rules of this, but it sounds fun. If there's a limited or small amount of space on the team, then I probably shouldn't do it because I'll probably be pretty busy once school starts back up in a few weeks. But if there are lots of spots available I'll go for it.

chtimi, FraGMarE and Shalashaska haven't recieved their pms. Theyr pms are still in my Outbox, not the Sentbox.

If we are going to start things at 10th August we need to start choosing the 10 players...

But as far as I remember, Gemant said it would be ok if things could start a little later?

I think so. We have a few more days to get ready anyway, so there isn't too much rush. By the way, I recall BBH saying he was busy with a MARP tournament and might not be able to participate in the other thread.

We'll have to start sorting out the ten players soon though. Hopefully those that have confirmed are still able to take part.

Also that they are sure we play on Wolf Mame and that this competition will last 1 month. Maybe from 15th August to 15th September...

But I think we should do that once we have the last confirmed / declined statements. Or if we don't get any reply in the next days, when we start to decide for 10 players.

Wow, haven't been on the forums for a while so this whole competition is news to me. Unfortunately I'm going to have to respectfully decline.

Normally I would jump on something like this but I just don't have the time right now as the Navy is keeping me pretty busy and my internet access is very limited.

I thank you for the nomination though and am quite confident that the skills of the other nominees, and of the people on this board in general, will lead shmups.com to victory.

I can do it as long as I have a decent PC control pad before this thing starts. My old one broke from repeated button mashing. Those USB Saturn pads sure look nice......
