I really can't see 2 billion in arrange mode, unless if there is some sort of rapid fire setting that makes more points or something?

I believe it was this guy (http://blog.drecom.jp/mushioujou/), but if I remeber correctly it was made with restarts,
but still, very impressive stuff.
I think I still have the movie at home, if anyones interested I could upload it somewhere.

BTW, at the bottom of this page (http://blog.drecom.jp/mushioujou/monthly/200508/) is the post about the video.
Apparently he played the fifth stage for five hours straight to get the score.

Thanks toby, it looks like the guy uses some sort of rapid fire in the vid, but I can't really tell what sort from just looking at the replay.

They did pretty bad on the end boss too

I know exactly what maintaining the counters after 3 stage at Arrange Mode.

at 3 stage, increase counter 350000.
before 1up part, increased 170000.
almost same Maniac....

at 4 stage.... so nice strategy....
point is mid-boss....
kill lately to the bone...... shot at side and kill lately to the bone....

at 5 stage.... same as 4 stage. point is mid-boss

result: I am going to 2 billion score, too

Anyway, is this replay done using the normal rapid settings or button combo/tapping? As said above it is very hard to tell what is going on, I'd never thought those kind of scores were possible in arrange.

He doesn't speak English natively. Pointing out the fact is definitely not very welcoming to the international community (and quite a few of them lurk). There are plenty of threads where people use automatic translations... definitely worse than this. Still not worth mentioning though.

Anyway, its not difficult to understand what he's talking about, as his post is about stalling the chain counter on midbosses. I've read machine translations that are worse, so leave him alone.

I'm wondering about this too. I played a bit last night, and I can't seem to get the counter to jump as fast in Stage 5 as this player does at the beginning of the stage (just after jumping up to the left corner). I can get it close, but still about 5-10K away. I think if it is rapid fire, it must be some C+ setting, as he is obviously holding A (you can see the hit box). So perhaps hold A while holding C+ at some setting? I'll have to fiddle around some more. If this rapid fire stuff works in Arrange, I'll have to make a new table.

I got a new high score in arrange (664 mil) last night but didn't get the clear, so I'll wait until I do to post a new revision on my score. Currently, I could get 800+ mil before the clear with my current strats if I can hold it all together in a run.

HDJ, I just noticed you used Rapid fire on this score. Could you tell us what rapid fire settings you use? Also, I will have to make a new table for your score (Arrange (RAPID FIRE)).

But, Arrange do not use rapid almostly....
press A shot is to powerup (not rapid)

specially, rapid is use some pattern.

Been messing around on Mushihime Maniac mode.
On stage 2 only, doing the usual trace option auto-fire strat I got 69,337,592 with a 140,000 counter on the mid boss.
70mil is possible, but I made a small mistake.
Again on stage 2 only, trying something I thought of last night, I got 81,719,922 with a 200,000 counter on the mid boss using M-Power, I died twice on the boss like a muppet though.

Also got 20mil from the beginning of stage 4 up to the mid boss, using the same strat as the Maniac player on the DVD where he gets 17mil, but this is not important really.
