record a run where I tried to dismantle the stage 1 boss, didnt get much score obviously but I wanted to see how it feels like. Am I doing it correctly?
Is ok!! So, if you look at my same video at around 2:40 you can see how I kill this boss... for this run I did care to score this one, haha.
So for Stage 1 boss, there are 4 main parts you want to destroy. The most important ones are the two big cannons on left and right side (there are also two smaller turrets all the way at bottom of boss, which are nice to kill also (usually same as killing shot of boss), but less important). For my route, I memorize how much I need to damage the two big guns on top left and right side of boss. Usually, memorization will be most of the work... but, once a boss part is low HP it will also flash red (this is how you know soon lock-on can kill it).
So in my order, I kill left side first with no Break to get x9.6 multiplier, then soon after activate Single Break to cancel bullet which do two things: first, to score, and second; to increase the white counter under the multiplier so multiplier stay active for longer. Then, after that I point-blank boss to increase gauge as fast as I can, so I can Double Break before doing lock-on on right turret for x12.8!!~
Then after that, get boss HP low enough, so I can lock onto main boss body and the two smaller turrets at bottom, to deliver killing blow to x12.8 those last three parts. That is how I increase score by +200 billion from before boss start, to end of Stage 1 scorecard.
Now, important for you to know: I do not play Original for score. However, the basic idea to execute this boss will be very similar still!
Also, in case you not know: for this boss, it will transition its phases at set times. However... if you baboom the big turret, it will cause the boss to immediately transition to the next phase. This is important to remember to route the entire fight properly as well!
For me, my route is very strict because in Unlimited, I need to have the correct attack pattern for each step I do to attack each part!! But in Original, will still be very similar idea @_@"... you want to attack and know that when the big turret baboom, you get the next bullet pattern phase... so you know what to expect... know where to be... and know how to handle the remainder turret on the right side (assuming of course that like me you kill left turret first, which I recommend for sure because it is very annoying lol) >.<!!!~
