it's harder and it replaces one extremely boring boss milk with a potentially exciting and very lucrative one (but not on the same boss). scoring overall has been altered. item order is different. etc etc

okay fine
- weapon damage values have been tweaked and remain consistent across all difficulties/rounds
- bomb damage values have been tweaked
- item order is completely different (and resets on death just like New Version)
- rank is based on survival time on one life instead of weapon power (assuming normal dips, in round 1 it starts out very low but reaches tatsujin ou's peak round 1 rank; in round 2+ it starts out at tatsujin ou's regular base round 2+ value but will go beyond its peak)
- tick points are gone
- point values for enemy kills have been doubled
- anything that used to explicitly award 0 points now awards an amount of points
- no score extends, no bombable 1up carriers (but there are still extends)
