Just with PS801 open. I'll get myself a bulb sorted and go through the tests mentioned above and report back!MKL wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 4:45 pmWas that with jumper on PS801 and pin 4 of FBT desoldered? If so, resolder pin 4 and desolder the HOT (Q802) and see if you still have 125V.retrogizmo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 3:38 pm Ok, I will give that a try. I'm getting 125V +B with no load

Re: CRT TV Repair
Does the wattage of the bulb matter? I see people saying to use 60w or 100w as this is reasonable as a dummy load for the expected draw on +B. Getting an old style tungsten bulb doesn’t appear to be easy these days…

Ah, eBay! Yes, there are some 60w in the UK. Done.

Re: CRT TV Repair
This Is My first time on this forum,
I am currently trying to repair my RGB-modded Sony Trinitron 20m42; the jungle chip is CXA2061S. The problem I am having is that everything works except the HSIZE/EW adjustment in the service menu. That includes the HSCRL. I am trying to find out if this is just a dummy control and, if not, how to fix it. I am pretty sure I have adjusted it before, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated! thank you

Re: CRT TV Repair
Make sure your service menu is at factory defaults to rule out a previous service adjustment.
This can be factory reset settings in service or you can find default values in the service menu

Re: CRT TV Repair
Based on my experience with modding several of these TVs, the horizontal size control in the service menu has no effect on 20" Trinitrons using the A51LDG50X picture tube, which is used on your KV-20M42.Z-boy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2026 2:37 am This Is My first time on this forum,
