Just thought I'd mention the Ultimate Shooting Collection on the Wii - Karous, Radirgy, and Chaos Field. And the Capcom Classics Collection has 1942, 1943, 1943 Kai, Legendary Wings, Exed Exes, Vulgus, and a bunch of other games that you may or may not consider shmups.

Got delisted from the online store a while back, also I think the Europe release kept getting delayed and just never came out  . North America and Japan got the physical disc so you'll have to search for those.

And yeah, it's awesome. Back when it was easily available it was my #1 recommendation for new players, due to the high amount of customization on multiple aspects of the difficulty (for example, bullet speed and bullet count are two separate settings that you can change independent from each other). You can start with all the settings low and slowly work one slider up at a time as you feel comfortable.
Thnx guys some great shouts here
Estahos sounds like it deffo counts to

Not enough to tempt me to abandon MAME and the M2 Arcade Garage games I have already.

There are pretty good but they need patched to get rid of the random sound glitching and have local scoreboard support consistent across all of the games.

I have to keep sound down as wife normally watching soaps lol so haven't noticed & online scores of no interest (except for ridge racer times ;-)

Online scores are spot on - it's just that the in-game high score table sometimes keeps your scores - sometimes not - depends on the game. The same ports on PC keep local scores and online.

But I like the Switch cart for all that. Will get Vol.2 eventually.
