I did ask about this when chasing up my Dariusburst CS order (which arrived! They just didn't send any comms about my specific order) and they can't say when the Switch Ray'z is coming, just that they are preparing production. So I don't think it's happening soon.

Spring! So 2 full years after the JP release at best. Imagine telling your customers this instead of needing a website to prod you about it and communicate it instead.
All outstanding pre-orders due, erm, by the end of the year. Keep waiting guys

Yeesh. I'm grateful I ended up going for the Japanese version even if I had to do that obnoxious prime day sale for R-Gear. I knew Strictly Limited would be later, but I didn't think they'd be 2+ years later.

Getting the fully patched version is the only reason I've held on. I know a handful of releases have shipped with bugs so it's not just delays customers are fed up with. I don't recall what was on the Turrican PS4 patches but pretty sure the Switch versions didn't get any.

Unfortunately, only the basic PS4 disc was released. And double unfortunately, the basic version is sold out.
Like an idiot, I'm still waiting for the super fancy collector's edition... I'm never ordering
CEs from SLG again. I got basic Eschatos, no problems.

To anyone who didn't get the bonus (has Strictly Limited even shipped the Switch version yet?), R-Gear is now available for purchase on the Japanese eShop (440yen).

Nope, still no news from Strictly on the Switch version
Rando eshop listing is probably about right for it to be honest, it's just a curio. I wonder if it'll show up in other regions too...

Having played it and knowing exactly what it is, I seriously wonder and rather doubt if I'd pay 440 yen for it if it hadn't come with Ray'z for free already.

I mean, that's $3 USD. I think that's a fair price for a historical curiosity, limited as it might be.
Formerly known as 8 1/2. I return on my second credit!

Re: Ray'z Arcade Chronology [Taito x M2] - PS4/Switch [2023]
That. I mean, we're used to seeing DLC that costs that much or more just to get an in-game character outfit, or change a menu narration voice, etc. A whole level of an unreleased game? Feels like a fair price to pay to check out that curiosity, even if it would be nice to just get it in the base game.
Still annoying that Taito loves their Amazon Prime exclusive DLC releases with their compilations, but good to see this one finally becoming available to those who want it (without having to deal with Strictly Limited Games for a long delayed, if it ever releases, limited edition set).
