Yeah, the viewer is supposed to be slightly above Teresa in this picture, looking down at her, but I guess that doesn't come across so well in her lower half. The way the folds of her dress narrow the line of her thighs accentuates the problem, I think. Plus she has those massive shoulder pads.BulletMagnet wrote:The only real "complaint" (for lack of a better word) that I have about it is that her lower half looks a bit small compared to her upper half...the perspective might be a partial culprit here (assuming you were going for the same "coming out of the flower" effect that her official art has)
A mix of both, hopefullysffan wrote:It's amazing to me how that painting program can mimick real oil paint so convincingly. Or you're just good at utilizing it.
Good point. The background was just supposed to be an amorphous wash to complement the colours of the character, but it's not great. I guess I'll either tone it down to a more watercolour style haze or redo it as a tangle of rose stems or something.FrederikJurk wrote:I like the painting, she looks very lifelike, but the background is a bit of a letdown - I would either make a more detailed background or just leave out that part, but the washy strokes look bad.
Thinking about it, more people prefer the boring generic forest landscape populated with bugs and a controllable, pantsless, 14-year old girl.FrederikJurk wrote:Thinking about it, Ibara kicks tons of ass style-wise, all over the place. The first time I saw movies of it, the combination of the erotic theme of the rose sisters versus the violent destruction that game brings just wowed me. And the announcer sounds totally cool. EEEEBARRRRAAAAHHHH! Artistic renderings of the sisters ships would rock, too. With those Raizing-explosion rings coming out of them. That would be totally buuumbaaah!

No, no, no. You misunderstood me. With Ibara, the creativity isn't in the design of the graphics.BulletMagnet wrote:Since of course real creativity and excitement lies in cityscapes and a train level.
LOL. Arrange Mode one coming first, Arcade Mode second. ^_-BulletMagnet wrote:Now get to work on that ST, mister.
