Yeah, I made a mistake and didn't use my charge shot on the 2-5 tank a final time like I normally do and I didn't kill it quick enough so everything got out of control. I was so shocked to have dodged all that shit that I just dove into a bullet as I was spazing out and flailing around.ProjectAKo wrote:2-5 looked awesome... until that last bullet

I tried the game in MAME (0.216, low latency), but it felt very unresponsive. Definitely a couple of frames of lag more than what I'm used to.third_strike wrote:Why?Meriscan wrote:Played on Retroarch, FBNeo core
Pancake is really good in this one since his charge attack deals a ton of damage and charges back up very quickly. It's like the Lv.2 charge in Strikers 2, except you can stack up multiple of them here. Also the fast speed and minor homing is a bonus too.Steven wrote:I never really decided what plane to use, but I'm guessing there is a pretty good reason that so many people use the Pancake.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll set up the Neo Geo and try it soon.Meriscan wrote:Pancake is really good in this one since his charge attack deals a ton of damage and charges back up very quickly. But that's not to say there aren't good alternatives. Spitfire has an incredibly strong bomb. It clears the screen of bullets while also dealing massive damage, and afterwards you get a formation that helps out a lot too. I haven't spend significant time in many of the other ships, but they seem to all have something strong about them. Pancake is just the easiest to pick up and try, so it makes sense new players would use it.
