Castle of Shikigami 2 - the slow PAL version. And i still can't beat that ratbastard Shintaro. Hell, i'm having problems just reaching him lately.
Warning Forever - Been playing this quite a lot. It's simple, but great fun. I guess i should post in the highscore thread..
non-shmup:
CvS2. Always CvS2.
Vagrant Story.

Believe it or not, if you're talking about the original N64 game, I actually played through it for the first time myself within the past few weeks, completely out of nowhere...great presentation, but oversimplified gameplay and too many tedious sidequests, imo. Also is missing a lot of the humor from the first SMRPG...unfortunate.SAM wrote:Paper Mario, yes that silly RPG with silly story sill characters...![]()

As for the topic, I honestly haven't been playing too many shmups recently, as I'm currently hopelessly hooked on Builder's Block...I've come close to finishing Arcade mode in one credit, but there's one lousy stage in Puzzle mode which is driving me absolutely insane...

I'll use Eps's format.
Shooting Games
Ibara - No 1CC yet...
DDP:DOJ - I suck at levels 4 and 5.
Under Defeat - 1CC'd this a couple weeks ago! Haven't done so in the second loop.
Non-Shooting Games
Steambot Chronicles - I didn't like it at first, but this game is getting really good.
...I guess that's it.

Finally got beatmania IIDX RED in the mail yesterday but gave it my first run just now.. just about 10 minutes or so, but I'm kind of busy...
Of course, the first song I hit was "Don't be afraid myself". Hotttttttt Japanese girls shaking their stuff
Next up was "Les filles balancent", since I like Orange Lounge stuff, and I had never heard the song before. Finally, my curiosity got the better of me so I had to see what the deal was with "Toxic" (I don't have BMUS).. Full Comboed the 7Keys version on my first try, I'll play the Another later but I'm not wild for the song itself.
Shooter-wise, nothing really. I finally won a MD-JP version of Zero Wing on eBay, so I might have a run through on an emulator while I wait. But even hard mode on MD is easier than the default on the arcade version..

Shooting:
ESPgaluda II until my controller broke, so:
Shikigami no Shiro II (got to 5-1... 1CC not far, but I dont' think I'll bother for now
Under Defeat and Radirgy on the side. Fun games, but hard for me to get into. I'm not used to bombinb so much in UD, and Ridirgy is just weird.
Non-shotting:
Madou Monogatari on the Saturn, for some weird reason.

Don't mean to derail, so...
In addition to the above, I forgot to mention Gradius V, a game I wrote off some time ago, but after being nudged by a bunch of people to give it another try, I'm back into it.

galuda-PS2 one credit here and there, it's easy to go to that last pattern but that bomb absorption is cheap, no 1CC yet because of it
pulstar-MVS great game that i have for a while, started recently. so far dying at st4
so far i have stopped playing border down (going nowhere at all) and kyukyoku tiger
non shmups:
ninja spirit-PCB jesus this is as hard as i remembered

For awhile I was pretty addicted to:
-Batsugun
-Gun Frontier
but then I found my copy of Dodonpachi ( I thought it was lost) and now I can't stop playing that. Before I hooked up my Saturn I was playing UD and Street Fighter Third Strike.
So many shooter... I really should just stick to one and go for the 1CC. The last game I did that on was Ikaruga on Easy (my only 1CC

After all that stuff that I heard about that game, you could as well bet for quitting crack after the first month. Just be sure not to urinate in an empty soda bottle because you`re too hooked to go to the bathroom.raiden wrote:World of Warcraft
I made a bet before I bought it. I was completely sure to quit after the first month. Now I´m hooked.
