We are coming close to demo release time, so I thought I would release a few screenshots around the place to get a bit of feedback as to the visual style of the game.
The scoring \ play system is as such: You have a ship with two firing modes. In the intial firing mode you will fire a normal (typically spread) shot. You have an option which will mirror your main ship's firepower. The option can be directed to come to your current location with the second button, hence meaning you can place it anywhere you like on screen. The option will slowly travel back towards your player's ship when left unattended for too long.
Alternatively, you can HOLD the second button, and the option will "cling" to the front of your ship, amplifying you shot power dramatically, but your ship's speed will be slowed down to a crawl.
You can multiply the score you are awarded by anything by collecting bonus items. The amount of bonus items that appear when an enemy is destroyed is directly related to the amount of objects on screen at once (bangai-o style). This will fill a multiplier combo gauge that slowly drains, and has a maximum value of making all points x128 -- so for scoring this is pretty damn important! :P
