Anyone preordered Last Hope yet?

Post by J-Manic »

Anyone successfully preorder Last Hope for the Dreamcast? I'm just wondering. If someone has, how did you go about doing it?

I just went to the main website and e-mailed them about preordering a DC copy. Hopefully they'll get back to me with further instructions.

Nevermind. They just wrote back saying that "preordering the DC is currently not necessary. The release is planned for Q4 2006/Q1 2007." So I guess that means that Last Hope won't be released for a while then? :?

???

The AES version is being released first (which is why preorders are taking place) followed by the NGCD and DC versions. Just be patient, man.

No one has actualy played it yet, right?

I'd rather hear what the AES people have to say about it after it drops than pay for it on DC without having any clue at all.

I know it's not out yet but can anyone venture a guess as to whether the DC version will be specially built, or basically just the NGCD version packed with an emulator?

I'm wondering if it would be better to go for a NGCD version and make my own DC pack...

Not sure that's the best idea... people who drop $500-$700 (whatever the official price is now) on a game tend to have somewhat biased opinions.

It'll probably be a real port, as the DC is quite easy to develop for, and distributing the game in emulated form packaged with any of the existing emulators would be illegal to the best of my knowledge. I'm guessing the game is written in C and not asm.

Good point. At least shooter fans are fairly fickle.

I'm willing to bet this game is not-so-hot in the gameplay department. Time will tell I guess...

My apologies to everyone for making this immature thread. Apparently I heard it was being released on April 20th, the DC version that is, and that information is definitely faulty. The game isn't due to be released for a long while. Like I mentioned before, The guys at the official site wrote me back with the dates "Q4 2006/Q1 2007". Anybody know what the Q's stand for?

Q = quarter

Even though 4Q defies the normal rules of time and space.
Alas, Ikaruga is going...

And what rule of time and space would be violated by releasing the game Oct-Dec 2006?

Hey, this actually looks pretty cool. The music reminds me of Obliterator somehow =) Any word on pricing? I didn't see a order page...
