BBC at its poorest, yes. Half of them would struggle with English grammar these days and they never check anything.

YLE, the national broadcaster here, has stopped using an editor and the journalists don't use a spellchecker so at least 50% of the articles on their website have typos. Professional pride is dead.

Yes, I was 'getting' that feeling too. The kids laugh at me with my program editor, cursive handwriting, use of a fountain pen and my insistence on working things out on paper instead of a calculator. Also, they hate it when I don't have a Smart Phone :D I am feeling old :)

To be honest though, I would fear if they used grammar checkers as it would no doubt serve to restrict the language.
