It's a Mitsubishi EUM-4201A

15k, 31k ?
I think it's 31k capable...
If someone could help me to see more clear about his one
Thanks

what a lightweight. The Sony PVM 43" one is listed at 200kg (440lbs).Not even too much considering that it's probably the largest CRT ever made..

I scavenged all over the web and didn't find much more than what I posted above. That said, the most relevant stuff is covered - h./v. scan rate, mask pitch, connectors, weight. We don't have the TVL spec but judging from the 1mm pitch, even taking account of the massive size it shouldn't reach BVM's figures (btw the mask shouldn't be an aperture grille since Sony's patent was still effective in 1994/5). I guess that the raison d'etre of these presentation monitors was to be viewable from a moderate distance in large rooms (while accepting the majority of video signals/resolutions) more than be a showcase of what the CRT tech could achieve.Lawfer wrote:Nice, any specs on it?
Mod your consoles? Aside from the Nintendo 64 and NES (Analogue Nt with RGB output is better anyway), why would you need to mod your consoles to have high quality?Xer Xian wrote:- Want to go out of your way to have high quality? Gotta hunt one or more professional monitors, mod your consoles
Really? Damn. I can sorta understand though - these beasts are so unwieldy that their owners are probably happy to unload them for peanuts in the local markets. I know I couldn't take one even for freeamaradona wrote:Amazing beast! It seems it is gonna be also a great deal: 30 euros each!

Nope, there was a Sony PVM-4300 - 45" trinitron tube, 43" viewable area per the specs in the manual. I've never heard of anybody actually seeing one in person though...Xyga wrote:There was a 45" pvm~bvm.
EDIT: actually no those were 'KX' series.
I'd be taking two of these, at least. Heh.Xer Xian wrote:Really? Damn. The EUM-4201A and the AM-4201R are exactly the same monitor. The only difference being that the EUM (European) model runs at 220v and the AM (American) model runs at 120v.Dragon89o wrote:How does this differ from the Mitsubishi Megaview AM 4201R? Is it just different model names for different parts of the globe?

Pretty cool seeing people from this forum posting over there. And of course it's always nice to see retro gaming being discussed in french! Loved this quip, describing the monitor : "C'est une pure tuerie."Xer Xian wrote: This is where it all started: http://www.neo-arcadia.com/forum/viewto ... 14&t=59086
